How does cnn or you or me really no how people think besides 16 year old hysterical teenage girls that they  put on  cnn   for propaganda , i  don't think people really give a f one way or the other just like most people could care less or don't even know what is going on  in politics most the time.

After few weeks this will be all forgotten and the useful idiots will go back to watching the Kardashians.

But the NRA and all the industry of firearms  and target shooting hunting will still be there with deep pockets .

I don't think so on this one.

At some point there has to be some give. Why not give up the AR-15 and see what happens. Again the worls has changed and we have lost some of our freedoms get used to it.

Problem is first it will be semi’s then it will be pumps etc etc.

Why the f*ck should I have to give up my AR’s for a few pieces of shit?

Just one opinion: THEY ARE ALL bad. Any time some nut job decides to cut loose on innocent people it is bad regardless of who the victims are. Unfortunately when it happens everyone wants to ban guns and have more gun control when they should looking at why it happens and what is provoking these people to do such carnage.

Honestly don't care for ARs if was up to me would make it so you had to be over 21 years old to get a AR unless you are military or law enforcement and maybe even older .

But that is  because I have no interest in them others  will fight tooth and nail for law to be left alone  and those guys really really think it is important as I and most the population are indifferent to it

It's for the same reasons of all laws. Laws are in place for the 5 percent of people that we need them for.  Of course we don't want to give those things up but we prob won't have that choice.  I am firmly against most legislation that gets introduced cause it always limits the freedoms of people. I am also an NRA member and supporter a member of a local Rod and gun club. But I also am a realist in that we are a declining group and age bracket.  The NRA does good work but don't put the blame on them for not getting enough done. They are never going to stop the movement of society and legislation.  But only can hope to contain it as much as possible.

This did not involve any AR's:

University of Texas tower shooting

On August 1, 1966, after stabbing his mother and his wife to death, Charles Whitman, a former Marine sharpshooter, took rifles and other weapons to the observation deck atop the Main Building tower at the University of Texas at Austin, then opened fire on persons indiscriminately on the surrounding campus and streets. Over the next 90 minutes he shot and killed 14 people (including one unborn child) and injured 31 others; while a final victim died in 2001 from the lingering effects of his wounds. The incident ended when police reached Whitman and shot him dead. As of February 2018, the attack is ranked as the eighth-deadliest

Yep because it is not based on a logical thinking process that motivates those people most criminals don't use legal fire arms  or long gun in the first place .

But try and explain that to one of them and it just does not compute.

His argument was financial.

And that's all that has slowed it up. Did the Constitution stop the safe act?  Did it get overturned by the supreme Court? Yea NY has more gun laws, but not even Texas is moving to less legislation.  It's not going back.  It's a societal change.  It still marches forward.  Your not losing ypur guns today or tomorrow, but there will be more and more restrictions.  It will never go the other way.

There is truth in your words Rob.

But I cannot and will not concede defeat. And will continue fighting for my grandsons generation, to have the right to bare arms. As the US constitution intended. I will also continue to do all within my means to support the NRA, and all like minded people and politicians. Along with showing and educating anyone willing to listen, what Iaw abiding gun ownership is all about.

Only time will tell. But if we lay down for this, whats next? Does anyone truly believe, that more gun regulations will stop a criminal, or mentality diminished coward, from obtaining a firearm and doing harm to the unarmed? Has it worked in NY? Or Chicago, LA, or anywhere with strict gun laws? No it hasn't.

Def in agreement there. Just my point is that people want the NRA to stop these laws.  They just aren't going to.  Its bigger than them. All they can do is hope to slow it up and will never get them to go back. But yes without some voice the progression goes even faster.

The NRA is going downhill. Go ahead and donate your hard earned money it will go no where. They are losing partnerships as we speak. Having a hardline stance gets you nowhere. Isolation is where it will go. Be willing to agree to some moral principles to start. My God how many more children have to die so you can have your right to an AR-15. The tide is turning watch and see. It's all about money for them and that is going to become scarce.

Hey look how many kids have you known that have been shot  with a AR ? Or how many have you known that have been shot in a school  with A AR?

I will answer for you 0

But I bet you know  someone who has been in a car accident so why are these dirtbags on cnn bringing up a topic that does not effect 99.9 % of the population for?  AR are not a problem in this country it is a,totally made up story.

Don't get tricked  into giving up your rights.

All I'm saying .

Laws should be made only if they have a logical reason .

Not because they feeeel good to liberls.
