yeah kinda bummed about it. It was going to be a fun day out on the lake but we already rescheduled for early September. Hopefully the Kings will still be around.

When we were talking to him on the phone he said he wasn't worried about the 3-4 footers that were currently out there it was the potential 5-6 footers that made him pause. It also seemed like it wasn't liability he was worried about it was getting us on good fish. Seemed like he has no issues getting on fish with 3-4 foot waves but 5-6 made it harder.

Now I could be misinterpreting everything that was said but that's what it sounded like. He let us choose to either continue or re-schedule and from what we where hearing we decided to re-schedule.

He will get you on them in Sept.  5-6 footers is not comfortable even in a bigger boat.  I can live with 4 footers but don’t really enjoy it.  You will probably be glad if he gets you on Kings in calmer water.  We were pushing my fathers comfort level today with heavy 1-3 or light 2-4 footers.

Live from the Ripley's aquarium Toronto. Giant tank of alewifes....aka bait ball, was my fav. Was bummed at first to see walleyes, gobies and sheephead but it got better quick. Awesome place, kids loving it. Son's mad there's no kings...

Had a request for walleyes.... Broke the south gap and found some 6-7'ers. After a few over the bow and not making up any ground we trolled with em for a bit on a blank screen. Brought it inside the wall on a prayer and ran some divers and harnesses off boat....I was not happy to be trolling inside but the guys didn't care. One shot on a deep diver and no fish caught. Tough night. I did catch a nice pic or two as we watched the lake pickup and waves crash over the break wall. Next time73c02d68ba28f2273a78566b2fc72287.jpg

You are a brave man toughing it out in 6-7.  I would not have made it past the pier without turning around.  lol

Just got back from a week of fishing in Quebec near Chibougamau at Domaine Poutrincourt. Had very good weather except for a cold front for 2 days. It was down to 43 at night.
Can't believe it, but I have no fish pictures! Biggest pike was 30" and biggest walleye was 19". Nothing to brag about for sure. But we had a nice time and had some great scenery including 3 bears and several eagles. The Three Rivers area is absolutely beautiful!!

You saw 3 more bear than I did and I actually hunted for them.  Lol.  Sounds like a great trip.

Supporting a tourney for Boy Scouts.  None of the others going are fishermen (or outdoor enthusiasts in the least) so I am hoping we get on a few screamers.   Should be interesting to watch.  Lol. Fish from 6:30 to 11.

I may actually get a few cups of coffee in.  You ever heard of hammerhead charters.  That is our boat.  Capt piano.   33’ tiara.   Looks nice.

Charter boat captain did a good job this morning.  10 for 15-16 in about 3.5 hours.  I didn't reel any in but one 12lb king since it was my 3 co-workers first time out ever.  Had a couple of good hook ups with kings but the guys lost the two best.  Mostly smaller kings in 10-14lb range with one decent 13lb laker.   Hammerhead charters.  I would recommend them.

Notice this post has no pictures....:negative: Yet another charter rescheduled, this has been a strange summer....

Walleye trip to Erie PA in July rescheduled to this weekend due to weather, rescheduled again to September 22 due to weather, which is why I'm typing this instead of being out on the boat. Are walleye even in the eastern part of the lake that time of year? That's almost salmon spawning time....

Catfishing trip in July on the Susky rescheduled to September due to boat malfunction....

Cruise to Alaska 2 weeks ago, the highlight for me was the salmon/halibut charter I set up a year in advance, cancelled the day of due to boat malfunction....

Just praying that the weather cooperates in September:rolleyes: Not usually one to complain, but this is getting silly. Guess I'll go shoot my rifles & make sure they're "on" for hunting season today, LOL.
