I've seen a couple of those deer up close and personal...lol.

I need to get out of Steuben County and venture a little further north in Region 8!

Yes they did. Got a couple of their skull plates hanging on my shop right now...

The finger photo is of the buck we had been chasing for a few seasons. He was demonstrating a pattern that we knew would change and leave us high and dry until late season. Another fortunate hunter got him before that on a nearby property that we suspected he moved to during rutting times. Ah well.

I have a folder with more than 1K photos of him during the past four seasons. I think we started tracking him as a 3, possibly 4 y/o.

always exciting having some kind of age structure. definitely have a pile of photos of nice deer. a lot of our good ones seem to die every year. it's cool when you get a buck that survives past 3.5 yrs old based on his patterns even if he dies from neighbors.

Without needing to know where you're located, I'm interested in property size, habitat management you've done, and any agreements with neighbors. You have an impressive amount of big deer waking around down there!

It's never a competition. I shared just so people could enjoy some pics. I particularly also don't think these pics stand out compared to most everyone in the geographical area. Every once in a while a buck gets some age on him and the rest are all pretty typical 2/3/4/5 yo references that most anyone has roaming their woods. The only difference is I have more cams than most people run and thus more images. That's it. Nothing special.
