Chartered a part boat tonight for fluke and porgy for my boys and their friend and even made it an official GTG with @Chef and @Marion (@BizCT was called away due to unmentionable circumstances).

Everyone on the boat (22 guys) caught fish with a. Few keep fluke and some nice sized porgies.

As a kid I would visit my grandma on long Island.  A charter fluke boat was highlight of our trip. I remember entering the "pool" on boat. My brother  won one year and bought us kids all ice cream.

Thankfully I forgot to collect for a pool as the ride out fish was a quick 20 minutes or so...I could not bare it if Marion won the pool which he might've with is fluke

Fished a couple stretches of the Wiscoy until dark and had a blast. A flying ant was the hot fly

Pick up some sheephead crack aka crayfish from the bait shop at north end of SBH if kids are going. Daughter picked up her nice bass and lost another good one on crawfish. Buddy and I using 1/8 oz jig heads and 3” Gulp minnows

Got out this morning on the kayak. Had 4 keeper bass until a frickin snapping turtle decided one was his. Try to pull up my stringer and the bastard was locked on. Had to give him a wack with the paddle to let go but I threw the mangled one back in for him. I guess we both won

Pick up some sheephead crack aka crayfish from the bait shop at north end of SBH if kids are going. Daughter picked up her nice bass and lost another good one on crawfish. Buddy and I using 1/8 oz jig heads and 3” Gulp minnows 

I will be out within the next few days. Baseball tourny this weekend....so maybe Monday.

No boat so all the musky I get are from shore. Miles and miles of shore walking lol.

Yes after talking with a local he confirmed the same. I ended the trip with 3 spot and 1 whiting. Didn't fish super hard but it was fun.

No the spot were about perch size you would need a bunch for a meal for it to be worth it. A fellow fisherman said they taste good. The whiting was last day, so we didn't eat it, but they are good eating.

Next trip is maine staying in stockton springs . If anyone knows of a decent charter boat I'd like to try that. @Bionic?

Took a drive after camp to the Esopus today since I have been itching to fish even in this ridiculous heat ..had 2 beaver get within 15' of me...big bastids





To the young lady who decided to practice her hula hoop dancing (that's a thing?) on the stream bank, I thank you.
