crappyice
Anyone still feeling odd effects from their bout with Covid? I put on a few extra pounds since the hunting season ended and decided it’s time to get back on track. Mind you, I have never been a runner but could/would jog 2 miles with relative ease even when out of shape. Yesterday I did some outdoor chores and found myself really struggling to catch a good breath after carrying some paver stones from back to the front of my yard (100’). I chalked it up to being out of shape and decided today would start the process. Felt fine as I started but quickly felt like I couldn’t get a full breath. Walked for a bit and started my slow jog to only have the same thing happen. After my two miles of interrupted jog/walk, I went home disgusted. It was my wife who Mentioned “long Covid” as I never heard or payed attention to that. Still seems like a handy excuse for me just being a FATASS!!! Shoots100
I had the same issue after my bout with the china virus. I noticed that I couldn't keep up with my friends during deer drives and while walking up hill's getting to coyote stands that was usually a piece of cake. After a few months of extra cardio training and the usual regular outdoor activities associated with coyote, small + big game hunting, the labored breathing slowly went away. I didn't gain any weight, but I could see the extra weight adding to your post covid labored breathing symptoms. Unless you have some underlying condition that would need medical attention that you don't know about, lose some weight, walk an extra mile and you should be fine. Chef
It is for sure possible, the good news is this does tend to go away between 3 and 5 months Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
sbuff
I had covid two years ago, I haven't slept through the night since. Never had a problem falling asleep or sleeping all night. Now forget about it .
Jeremy K
Try 8 Oz of beet juice an hour or 2 before you exercise. I throw a grany Smith in the mix to make the taste less earthy.
diplomat019
Everything is checked out ok with me. Been to several dr’s and all my tests came back good. Been checked for everything. They say im good. I know im not. Been on meds and whatnot. They say it’s something with my prostate. But I’ve been dealing with this for 6 months. Have a good friend who is dealing with something similar as well. https://news.northwestern.edu/stories/2022/03/covid-infects-penis-testicles-and-prostate/
Waterfowler
I’m sure “long COVID” will get blamed for lots of things. A lot will be in peoples heads.
G-Man
Covid, vaccine... many are complaining about longer term problems, heart palpitations, headaches, tire easily.
Paula
I started getting headaches after the booster, I still get them. I wake up with one and sometimes one will wake me up. I have taken Aleve and ibuprofen, Tylenol seems to be working best right now
Otto
I swear I have become allergic to shellfish since my booster in early December. After the “Feast of the Seven Fishes” on Christmas Eve, I was swollen up and had hives all over on Christmas Day. The passed after a day. On NY Eve, I had a shrimp cocktail with the same result. So since then I have been avoiding all shellfish. I’ll wait until 4 or 5 months have passed to test it again.
First-light
I had been an avid runner 4 miles a day. After getting vaccinated I had some nerve problems in my groin. Multiple doctors and such. After 7 months I'm seeing a specialist. I had covid in January but very mild. I can jog 2 miles but feel winded. Don't know if it's just me or the covid. Ill report back Thursday after I see the specialist.

I imagine it is infant sized? I’ll start with a shrimp risotto at home and see how it goes before I hit the Raw bar at the Sherwood Inn. crappyice
Took my jog/walk yesterday to some moderately Better results but once I have a hard time Catching my breath it’s hard to get back. No jog today but was pretty active with some chores and found myself needed a good deep breath every once and againSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Almost worse than the chef at the country cloud where my summer camp is who still doesn’t have 100% smell or taste. How does one be a chef without taste?!? Serious problem for hinSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Otto
Yes, it sucks, but a really small price to pay for not getting Covid. I’ll get over it, I’m sure. If not, there’s lots of other delicious items on the menu!

Every year he’d go on vacation to Main and haul back a bunch of lobster and we would have a big friends dinner. One year out of know where he blew up and we almost took him to the hospital after a couple of hours and the Benadryl not doing anything. Turned out ok and he just does not have shellfish anymore. Moho81
I got my shots in February and March of 2021. I never had COVID that I’m aware of but in August of 2021 I started to get headaches that I describe as a sinus headache almost daily. That went on for maybe 2 months before it finally stopped. Now it seems like whenever the temperature swings from cold to warm I have a headache all day. I just assumed it was getting older and my body not dealing with weather changes as well as it use to but I always thought in the back of my head what if it was the vaccine. Anyways now that I’m typing this out I just realized that I haven’t had a headache the last few days and we have gone from 20 degrees to 65 degrees. mlammerhirt
My brother in law became allergic to shellfish later in life as well. First time was a mild reaction to a shrimp cocktail with his tongue itching and throat itchy as well.....second time got pretty serious with throat closing up and extreme panic setting in for the few hours it took for all the swelling to go down. He now stays away from all shellfish meals and carries an Epi.Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
Otto
Well, I will certainly be careful with shellfish. I am getting older and things change. If I go limp though, I will worry a lot more!
