Well, there ya go. The silent majority is indeed silent, aren't they? So what good are they? And who cares about their opinions and how they think the world is suffering? The fact is that the organizations that you are whining about are active, energetic, advocates for what they believe. If you don't like it then take your whining somewhere besides internet forums and play the game the way it is supposed to be played. Nobody cares that you don't have the spine to do anything but complain. I get a bit irked everytime I see these people claiming "Well gosh, their views don't represent me". Get over it ..... if there are so many people who disagree with ARs and the NYB views then stop your crying and get involved like those people did. If you can't work inside of those groups then start your own. Put your damn money and effort where your mouth is instead of just moaning about those that do. I'm sorry if I appear to be coming on a little strong about this, but it is just something that finally had to be said. Enough of this worthless bashing. If you have such strong feelings about these issues then do something useful and worthwhile about it.

Right on Doc . If people don't like the ways things are working , get involved and make changes . Spend your time , money , energy , etc and make things happen . Write letters , have meetings , do whatever is necessary to make changes . Just complaining about the way things are isn't going to cut it !

Slice Zucchini the long way scoop out the seeds just leave the meat,put in cut up pieces of venison,diced tomatoes,onions and what ever other vegies you like,add spices,put them in a crock pot add just enough water to bottom of shells,slow cook for 4 hours.both halves fit in my elec. crock pot.YUMMY.

1. Where you hunt,the ground whatever you call it. I know a guy who killed a buck every opening day for 23 years. For years I never even knew he hunted! When I did talk hunting with him,well he knew very little, but where to sit and smoke and drink coffee opening AM. Tons of deer even he scored 2. time afield 3.knowing your land I'm no great hunter but i got a very good spot that I've hunted for 25 years and LOTS of time to hunt. Have not been skunked since sometime in the '80's Just by knowing the woods here is how it happened last year. First time out in bow took a doe. Opening morning of gun took a nice buck,that afternoon put a friend in a stand he took a nice buck. Second morning of gun took a doe for a friend. I don't own scent loc,can't tell a thing by looking at a deers teeth,don't know phases of the rut, could not rattle in a buck, blowing in a call sounds like a duck if i do it,could not ell you what scent to use when. I just know where the deer are.

Its all gone, been gone for a while now. We did have one scragly piece of steak left and used that up last week, but I was saving that for along time..lol Supersticious I won't get any if I don't leave some for seed in the freezer. We eat it a lot when we do have it, love it.

I already told you who it is about, all of those gun hunters that you don't care about with your selfishness. And you still don't know how, where or what I hunt, nice try. I like idea of freedom to choose, leave it up to the hunter and try to educate hunters how to age a deer instead of craming it down every ones throats. I don't expect your narrow minded veiws to change.

Look, I've been listening to the "real whiners" for a few years on here. It's always those that refuse to put their money and effort where their mouth is. It is those that do not have the courage of their convictions to get involved in even the most basic ways. I am not an AR guy, but I definitely will stand up for those who have the where-with-all to climb out of their armchairs and go out and get organized, or pay their dues and offer support to those that advocate for their activities, and by the way have to suffer all the stone throwing from the peanut gallery that feels comfortable simply sitting back and whining. I am not saying that on every issue where you may have a disagreement you need to jump right up and create an organization. But I will say that when the opinions move beyond just a casual disagreement and start with the over-the-edge doom and gloom statements and the hate-speak, I would think you and others might be moved to take some action. I mean to listen to some of the comments here you would think the world is coming to an end. Wouldn't you think that with all this hatred of AR, and all the predictions of it ending hunting as we know it, somebody by now would have conjured up an anti-AR organization to push those views forward? Don't you find that strange? This isn't exactly a new issue you know. From the venom in some of these replies, you would think that more would be done than just some thread in a forum.

some people are never happy. What more do you want? It sounds like the woods to yourself for at least a month then the rest of us can join if if you have your tags filled. I agree a shorter season would be beneficial. Hunting is what it is. If you have other obligations well guess what so do the rest of us. I work 2 jobs one is mostly weekends. So if you think I or anyone else hunts from first light opening morning to last light of season closing, I think you are mistaken. No one has an unfair advantage here. You hunt when you can and do the life thing when you have to.

Boy alot of complaining , let me put my two cents into this.first cross bow hunters deserve to hunt just like everyone else( i hunt with a compound).Second antler restrictions should be implemented in all zones. if hunters start harvesting mature bucks you will see alot more hunters coming out.I hunt in a zone that doesn't have antler restrictions, but i still hunt and pass up many young bucks. it doesnt make me quit. stop complaining and get out there and enjoy wildlife.antler restrictions work.been doing it for ten years. i see more deer now than when i purchased the property.try it you might like it

Hey NFA-ADK like you I choose to let a lot of deer walk that’s the choice we have made. The difference between you and I is I believe the other guy should have the same right to choose as I do. You and I don’t have the right to tell anyone they can’t choose to shoot a small buck whether we like it or not. Sorry Grouse, but you are wrong on this. Pointing out the statements, etc of a few individuals does not constitute the majority. Thats the same as saying all Catholics support or enable pedophilia.

I take a soft sided lunch cooler with a frozen water bottle. I gut them, rinse them with cool water from a thermos, pat them dry, and throw them in the cooler. The cooler fits 4 gutted squirrels, and fits nice in my backpack.

Spot i hunt in PA has lots of grouse. I know they are there but they still scare the crap out of me when they flush in the early A.M.

Last Bow season i got to my lease a little early, The stand i planned on hunting that morning was about 500yds across this fresh cut hayfield and there was a full moon, So as im walking i get a text from my brother and saw how early it was so i decided to really take my time, Thats when i saw it, the cutest black cat, now ive seen this cat everyday and im thinking im going to see if i can pet this kitty, So i started saying hey kitty, kitty and walking toward it, When i got about 5 feet away mister kitty decided that he was gonna show me that he really wasnt a cat at all, So now im standing there 5ft from one pissed off skunk he lifted his tail and started stomping his feet, Thats when i decided that i should get out of there and should do it as fast as i could, So now im running and i think im doing a decent job at it, when i look back this skunk is chasing my big rear end across, this hay field in the middle of the night under a full moon and he is gaining ground, I cant tell you he was going to do when he caught me but i really didnt want to find out, so i kept running, I eventually get away from him and made it too my stand, where i get phone call from my brother, Laughing his a$$ off because he watched the entire thing go down, So now its one of his favorite stories to tell people, and everytime he even smells a skunk around i will get a text from him and all it says is "rihlmao" and that means rolling in hayfield laughing my a$$ off,

That organization does exist, they do promote sex with minors and they are supported by the majority of the homosexual community. Prove the bolded part of that statement. I'm still undecided on them. They may help in the eastern half of the state...but a 3-pt. rule will do nothing here in WNY if the goal is to produce more/bigger bucks. What we need is more ECO officers!!!

I do not hunt in any off the AR units, my only concern is I think some brown and down hunters will seek other places with better odds of harvesting whatever passes by. Which is well within there right if done so legally. Just a bummer seeing deer you let walk all bow season that have potential to become quite impressive and able to carry on there gene pool for more years stuffed in the back of a mini van on opening day.
