  1. I have two of them, not my favorite cameras. The shutter speed is OK and daytime pics are good, nighttime pics are horrible, even if the deer is 15-20 feet away. They are very easy to set up. I didnt pay $200, I think they were around $100 or so. Even at $60, I don't think I would bother. I have other Cuddeback cameras and they are very good. Two of them have white flash and they don't seem to spook the deer. I get several night shots in a row with them.
  2. If my gun jams when I'm loading it, I take a buck that same day. Happened twice so far, if it happens again, I'm calling it a pattern.
  3. Ha! Had the same thing but Venison Lentil Soup instead of chicken.
  4. I liked your pics from the beach better!
  5. Looks like a great dog! Good luck with the training, have fun with it.
  6. Because of this discussion, today I went specifically to the LLBean website and spent $100. It felt good!
  7. I have a Brittany and can say he is not only a great hunting dog, but a great family pet as well. He is full of energy and just loves to hunt. Besides all the other things said about the breed, one nice thing is the medium size, just under 40 pounds. I'll second the recommendation that you look to reputable breeders with proven hunt lines. If you are interested, I can PM you one or two in NYS. (Sorry, ant seem to upload photos at the moment, I'll try again later)
  8. We also went to Ohio for the muzzleloading season, had a great time. We harvested a doe on Monday. In total our group saw about 30 deer while hunting, no bucks, or no horns seen. Like ADK said, it was cold! 5 to 6 degrees on Saturday and Sunday. Monday warmed up some to about 24, and Tuesday was a mess with rain, and freezing rain. But that's the way it goes. Good idea to bring the Buddy Heater, I sat in a blind twice but preferred to sit in a tree stand. Went through lots of hand warmers, and my electric vest from Cabela's was my best purchase for cold weather. It was my first time hunting in Ohio and I am looking forward to going again! My friend doctored this picture because someone said it looked like we were from a different era with our plaid shirts. Thought it was pretty cool.
  9. No need for a lawsuit. NY State is an "employment at will" state. Bumper sticker or not, Any employee can be let go at any time, no reason need to be given. It can't be based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or religious views though.
  10. There is usually a starter kit of spices in a new dehydrater, along with an owner's manual with receipies. I've used the seasonings that Gander sells, there is quite a variety and they are all really good. I have not used any homemade marinades but a lot of guys here do, I'm sure they will post too.
  11. Happy birthday Cynthia! Hope you are feeling better soon!

Ko thanks, birthday coming up in a couple of months. I'll hint for this, because "I am so hard to buy for".
  13. Sounds like a good plan! Thanks!
  14. Dam good idea with the binoculars!

Awesome gift! Where do I sign up?
  17. Sounds like the Spirit of the Season carries on! Awesome! I'm interested in Treestand Hunting Strategies. Thank you!
  18. His newsletter is really good, it's worth signing up for. His cookbook is very well done as well, makes a great gift for any hunter.
  19. Thanks, I've shot at Bville too. Camillus is a lot closer, but I may try Bville, I do know a few guys there.
  20. Our garbage guy uses a lift arm to pick up our containers, never even leaves the truck. I'm not sure how I would even give them a tip? Stay at the end of the driveway until they show up? Mailman, never met. UPS? Never met, and they "can't find our house using GPS." So they won't deliver, I have everything sent to my work address instead.
  21. I left a message there a few weeks ago and no one got back to me. I'd like to join so I have a place to shoot and sight in, maybe shoot some trap or sporting clays.... Also, I need someone to guide me through sighting in my muzzleloader for the Ohio season in January. Want to be sure it is spot on for this trip.
  22. Awesome restraint! I had 13 deer 200 yards away right at the last three minutes of legal time. They liked only that part of the field I guess! Had to wait a half an hour to crawl away from them.
  23. Wow, I am so sorry, my condolences to you and your whole family. Every day is a blessing, no matter what our age. It sounds like you and your father understood that.
  24. You have the same thing going on with your screen name too, Mr. Hu!
