  1. The Wegmans out here always have it. Pastabilities has a bakery right across the street from the restaurant. They have what they call Stretch Bread - perfect for dipping into that Hot Oil Sauce. They also have Gorgonzola Bread, awesome as well. Let me know if you can replicate that Hot Oil Sauce, I would like to try it.
  2. Ha! I though you were in the ‘Cuse! You made that, nice! Never saw the recipe online before, thanks for the link. There is a lot of HOT stuff in there. Have you ever seen a recipe for their Hot Oil Dipping Sauce? That is great stuff too.
  3. Thanks! Ive been thinking about getting a traditional muzzy. I have a Thompson modern in line, but have been looking at the Pendersoli available at Cabelas (got lots of points to burn). I’m left handed and they have a couple of LH models.
  4. All great pictures! What kind of muzzleloader is that?

    I screwed up

The screw attachment works on a rifle, so I’m sure it will work on your pistol. Really cool pistol too!
  6. My condolences to you and his family.
  7. Oh....sorry about that! TMDA! Too Many Damn Acronyms! Well, if it means anything the NYS Conservation Council also endorses full inclusion. I will take a look at the NY Crossbow Coalition as well.
  8. I'm not trying to derail the conversation regarding crossbow vs. compound.....but I have been a member of the NYCC for 3 years. If you have a few minutes, please go to their website and review their other policy positions - I am sure you will find some you agree with, and some you do not agree with. The crossbow inclusion position is only one of about 30 other positions they are advocating. Hopefully you will find an abundance of positions you agree with and become a member. The website is www.nyscc.com.
  9. I don't bow hunt (yet) but I am getting excited for this season. Yesterday afternoon, my wife and I watched 2 smaller bucks fight each other for over a half an hour in the alfalfa field in front of our house. They would lock up for a few minutes and then go back to eating, then have another round. This morning we watched 5 doe move from the edge of the woods into the same field. Seeing deer almost every day just adds to the anticipation! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. I never really followed the NFL anyways. I might watch a couple of games a year at most. I have hosted many a large Super Bowl Party at my house for many years, but I never really watched the game...to busy serving my guests. I believe it is disrespectful to not stand in silence during the anthem. If you feel the need to protest or bring light onto social injustice, DO SO! These football players have microphones and reporters following their every move; very few of them are actually articulating what they believe is wrong. They are taking a knee or sitting on the bench and that's it. I'd love to see one of these players quit the NFL so they could run for public office, or work with youths or do something other than "bring attention to the issue". Put up or shut up! This whole issue has been blown way out of proportion, but if it helps advance the discussion, I guess it will be worth the angst and anger many people have. But my guess is that it will eventually fade away and not really change anything.
  11. I have used Bonide Fruit Tree Spray for almost everything, it is both an insecticide and a fungicide. The instructions will tell you when to spray - during dormancy, at leaf break, before bud set, after fruiting, and in late fall. You may need to occasionaly add another fungicide or insecticide depending on what happens during the year. This spring and summer were exceptionally wet, so rust, spotting and leaf rot were very common. The Agway folks should be able to give you good advice - bring in a sample of the leaf or bug. My guess is that the Bonide will solve 95% of your issues. That, and good pruning. PS: my ornamental crab trees look like crap too, I am hoping that next year they bounce back.
  12. Thanks y'all....cant wait for it to start! I have to admit though, I like the trail cam game as much as the actual hunt.
  13. Why do they suggest you carry pepper spray while in grizzly country? Because grizzlies like their food spicy.
  14. I really enjoyed this video and am looking forward to seeing and hearing about your Lows Lake trip. Good luck and be safe!
  15. Very nice collections. I bought the Camillus bird hunting knife for a friend of mine this past Christmas....kind of wished I had kept it for myself! There is a Camillus collectors knife store right across the street from their old factory. I stop in every now and then to see what he has, the inventory is always changing. I did buy a nice set of rosewood handle steak knives there, very nice knives!
  16. Pulled another camera over the weekend and I have this sequence of sparring shots.
  17. Nice deer! Good luck tagging one! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. We have had them in the house all year. I just gently cover them in a tissue, scoop them up and quickly take them for a swim in the toilet. No stink, but it is a daily thing. I was cleaning the barn on Saturday and there were hundreds of them, especially on the south facing windows. I don't remember them from my childhood, it seems like I only noticed them in the last 12-15 years? Not sure, but there are lots of them around this year. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Yes, he's my favorite too, hope to see him on the ground! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
