I don’t like hunting in the rain bow , gun etc. Me personally it’s not worth it during archery, if you happen to make a low percentage shot and run the risk of a poor blood trail the wet ground will not help in tracking..

If you are not mechanically inclined then lease, I have 2 guys I work with and they both hate working on vehicles.One has been leasing for himself and his wife for many years and he gets some pretty good deals for being a repeat customer. But as others have said you are restricted on your miles and if you happen to get a dent they take money off for that. I guess it depends on what you will be using it for. Daily driver ( if you don’t have a distance to drive to work ) or haul the kids and groceries then a lease. But if you going to use your truck as a truck and it’s possible it will get dented or scratched , I would buy...

Ok, your question . Looking at the first photo it looks to me he still has a longer nose and doesn’t have that short Roman snout that a older buck would have. If he can make it a few more seasons he’ll be a dandy ..

Funny thing is I got out the old H@R single this year before turkey season and shot some 3 inch turkey loads, needles to say I carried the 870 -12 for the season. Apparently I was tougher or dumber when I was younger..

My dad started me out with a H@R single 12, it made me a better hunter because it made me slow down and aim. We dropped it off at a gun smith when I turned 16 (back then was the age you were old enough to hunt deer) and he installed a flip up rear dove tail. This way I could use it for small game and slugs . I killed a bunch of deer with that gun, used to carry 2 slugs slid between my index , middle and ring finger on my left hand for a quicker reload . I did get pretty good at reloading it quickly . Geez I hunted with that gun from 14 to about age 30 or so. Always shot 3 inch mags out of it too, ahh to be young again.

Looking forward to a complete review on the new bow. congrats on the weight loss, it is hard at times to maintain ones weight no doubt , but man the difference on how you feel with less fat to carry is notacible . I am down 40 lbs and man do I feel better..

I am right there with all of you . Wife and I will be moving out of this beautiful state when we retire, unfortunately we both have very good jobs right now and leaving now would not benifit us for our retirement..

Yes your bow is not perfectly tuned, but being this close to the season just move your sight and kill a deer with it..

Amazing what a deer can do , no doubt..
