  1. Not many Booners fall to hunters in NYS. It takes a special buck to make it. And a special taxidermist to do him justice. Justice was served.
  2. Congratulations to you and your beautiful bride Eddie!
  3. LOL....... No gator, and no piss either. But got a good laugh after looking at the picture! As it does look like I'm an old pissy pants!
  4. Took the day off from work to fish Saratoga Lake with my old neighbor. I get to hunt his property. So made sure he caught some too!
  5. Trimmed back and riding the pad!!! Whoohoo!
  6. Be nice to get into "that" camo!!!
  7. I was almost ten when I started working at the farm at the end of our road. At twelve, I started to help putting in hay for three other local farmers. Those four farmers were all friends, and big into deer hunting. They took a fatherless kid under their wing, and got me started hunting. Those men are all gone now. But their lessons of life, and hunting have never left me.
  8. I've found the trail entering and exiting the oxbows, the best way to hunt the bucks hiding in there. Use prevailing wind to your advantage. If set up right, they won't know you're hunting them.
  9. Been a long time since there has been a second amendment win in NYS!!! Long overdue!!!
  10. I'm struggling to pull 50lbs. But have no doubt that it will zip through a deer.
  11. Fold and wipe. Fold and wipe. Till there is no more brown in sight.
  12. Happy Birthday Brian!!! All the best to ya on your special day my friend!

    Hog

What a buck!!! Still lots of growing time for those antlers! Can you hunt him?
  14. Not sure my old ticker could handle seeing a buck like that walking towards me in the woods!! But what a way to go!!!........................
  15. Hoping it's just a minor inconvenience Larry. And that you and the Mrs. enjoy the camping trip!
  16. Nice job fella's!!! I'm up to two this spring being rescued. Pretty cool helping critters that may be older than me!
  17. Happy that it is all working out well for you! Heal up quick and get back to shooting soon!
  18. What a great buck!!! Over the decades, I've missed out on a few bucks I "should" have killed. But I always figured, it just was not meant to be. And I'm good with that. As always, you did a beautiful job on the mount!!! Your work is second to none.
  19. Too bad wooly isn't here more often. He is a chainsaw master!!! Paula, take your time. Be extra careful. You should be fine. Is the pine tree very large? If so, wait for a little help to be on the safe side.

    Buzz Baits

90% of the time, I'll use a stinger hook on spinner and buzzbaits. Dark or muddy water, I use a colorado blade. Clear water, willow leaf blades. Vary the retrieve speed, pause and let it fall. May get you a couple more fish than just a steady retrieve.
  21. Growing up with a single mom with seven kids, we had to learn self reliance at an early age. These days, too many rely on someone else. Like the government, family members, or any option they can find that's available. We were told to "figure it out" on our own. That was the best thing I learned growing up. When times got bad, I "figured" something out to get us through. Lots of times we may not have had extra money. But we had what we needed. "Figuring it out" seems to be a dying art now days for too many.
  22. I know right where your place is. So sorry that it will now be another Stewarts. Sometimes change can work out for us in life, to be so much better. That is my hope for you my friend. Hang in there! Better days are ahead!!!
  23. Happy Birthday Bob!!! All the best to ya my friend!!!
