What a great buck!!! Over the decades, I've missed out on a few bucks I "should" have killed. But I always figured, it just was not meant to be. And I'm good with that. As always, you did a beautiful job on the mount!!! Your work is second to none.

90% of the time, I'll use a stinger hook on spinner and buzzbaits. Dark or muddy water, I use a colorado blade. Clear water, willow leaf blades. Vary the retrieve speed, pause and let it fall. May get you a couple more fish than just a steady retrieve.

Growing up with a single mom with seven kids, we had to learn self reliance at an early age. These days, too many rely on someone else. Like the government, family members, or any option they can find that's available. We were told to "figure it out" on our own. That was the best thing I learned growing up. When times got bad, I "figured" something out to get us through. Lots of times we may not have had extra money. But we had what we needed. "Figuring it out" seems to be a dying art now days for too many.

So cool to see a grey fox!! We have em on the farm. But you'll see 10 reds for every one grey. So I may actually lay eyes on only one or two each year. Mostly during bow season.

I NEVER go to Saratoga on a weekend!!! Mid week, early in the day only! The state launch is great to go to, to sit and watch the s..t show!!!! Same as any state launch ANYWHERE on a weekend.

I agree. When someone can no longer afford to purchase meat, to put on their family's table. Do think that same person will spend the money to purchase a hunting license? When a lame governments decisions makes you poorer, you do what you can with what you have.

In most every other state, game laws are made by a game dept. like DEC. Not by a bunch of "brilliant" politicians, who could get lost in a one acre woodlot. As mentioned in this thread, "some" older guys on private land, will disregard these "brilliant" lawmakers decision. Can't blame em. This state is way beyond screwed up.

To get the cover off the bass boat! And start getting ready to get her in the water. Was thinking of doing a couple tournaments this year? But with the price of premium gas, will probably stick close to home and fish the Mohawk. May go up as far as Saratoga Lake.

Can use this for a harvest thread! We have seen only one gobbler and four hens on the farm this year. So I won't have any harvest to post. But do enjoy seeing others post up their pictures.
