  1. HaHa.....I use the plastic ones, they are quieter and lighter. A nylon strap through the crate and over my shoulder, off I go! Haven't broke one yet! And all my natural ground blinds have at least one. Wish they made em with arm rests though!
  2. I bought one of those three legged hunting seats. To get up off the bare ground a bit. Lasted about an hour before one of the legs sunk in and broke. Use a pad on a milk crate now. Stay comfy all day!
  3. Happy Birthday Joel! Hope ya catch a ton of bass this year! Hershey Park is a blast. Been there a few times now. Kids always had a great time. Isn't there a size limit on the coasters?..........grin.
  4. Although this is something I probably would not do myself. I would support it 100%.
  5. Happy Birthday my friend! Hope you are getting hugs and all the good stuff from family and friends. Also hope the coming year is your best ever!
  6. Best thing to happen in 4-H a few years ago was the change over to rifle! My old Deerslayer 2, killed a pile of deer, but I don't miss the thumping she gave me. And the dead right there results, along with the accuracy and range of the rifle, is so sweet! Welcome from the dark side! You will now see the light of using a nice rifle!
  7. You are right on! Most politicians in this state are a bunch of gutless cowards that do as they are told, by the higher ups, and whoever pads their pockets for the next election! In a couple of days, it will be seven weeks since my shoulder surgery. Still not close to pulling my 53lb. bow. Though I am gaining. Once the cross bow became a legal hunting implement, a few years ago, I assumed it would be a shoe in for full inclusion shortly there after. It only makes sense to assume, that with a bit of tweaking and changing the regulations from needing a black powder stamp to a bow stamp with archery certification, it would be a go. But no, nothing they do in Albany makes sense anymore. I do appreciate what Rick and others, from the crossbow coalition have and are trying to do. But like FSW said above, those spineless political bums really don't care if you or I hunt or not! We don't give them enough $ to get things done! There are very few politicians that have stood up to try to pass this through. We need to give THEM our all out support! As their numbers are as small a percentage as those of us for full inclusion, it seems.
  8. I'm on the bobcat bandwagon too. Very cool critters.
  9. Take the leap! Well worth it at your young age! Hope you hunt to 100!
  10. Congratulations! Couple of great looking young un's. They take after their mom I'm sure. Enjoy every minute. They fly by so fast.
  11. Some very nice bows can be picked up second hand at a very reasonable price, all set up. And the last two weeks of bow, are still good for crossbow. The best two weeks of the season in my opinion. Perhaps, better luck getting this through next year.
  12. Sadly, full inclusion doesn't look like a possibility this year Biz. Start shopping for a compound. Maybe next year, but we've been saying that for years now. The squeaking wheel that is full inclusion, is just not loud enough in NYS.
  13. Happy fathers day to all the dads out there and the ones that now live in our hearts and memories. Got a nice little box of fishing stuff. Went to a baseball game with grandsons. Had a great dinner and now just chillin after a day in the sun.
  14. Good thing no one walked in our room on our wedding night. They would have called the cops on US!...........smile.
  15. After DEC investigated, they now say it was a common house cat.
  16. Beautiful gun. With a little TLC, she could be a real gem. Always thought when I got older, I'd have more free time. I was wrong.
  17. So cool that she is really into shooting traditional archery! And she is lucky to have a Dad that knows bows and shooting. In the not too distant future, I see a beautiful picture of Daughter and Dad, over an awesome whitetail, she just arrowed. Good luck and have fun with the new bow Natalie!!!
  18. Looks like wood chuck work. A 22 will solve the problem nicely.
  19. Wow! Nice shooting and looks like ya got her dialed in real good! Love those arrows too!
  20. At a boy Joel! Way to go buddy! Before you know it, all the big time fishing sponsors will be knocking on your door!
  21. There are as many reasons why and how we hunt as there are hunters. What works perfect for me may be a nightmare for someone else. But as long as you don't break any laws, it really is all good. I'll just go on hunting the way I do. And enjoy every minute of it. And let everyone else do the same, and hope they enjoy it half as much as I do! Venison or beef? I'll eat whatever is put in front of me, love it, rub my tummy and go take a nap.
  22. See that wouldn't be fair to the deer if I hunted naked. Because I'd be scaring them to death!
