  1. Shame on anyone leaving a mess like that behind. More so a "hunter".....who should absolutely know better. I will probably never go to that spot dinorocks. But I want to thank you for cleaning it up for me sir. You are a true stewart of the wild places.
  2. I do know that over the years, I have done EVERYTHING WRONG, at times and still killed a bird. Lucky I guess?
  3. Happy Birthday to you two!!!! All the best guys, hope ya's had a great day!!!
  4. Pretty cool set up! And dead nuts on too! Once you take a few out the others will get the message, and not come around as much. I keep an owl decoy out in the yard. If I move it around every few days, it helps keep the pests away. But nowhere near as fun as what you have set up!
  5. Great story! I have never used a pack animal, but hunting out west they are invaluable, and used quite a bit. I believe there are people who use them in the adirondacks too?
  6. Nice Knife Leland!!! I have always been a fan of Buck knives. Functional, and not too expensive!!
  7. Great Pictures larry! Those coyotes look hungry!
  8. SmartWool for me. I've never worn anything better.
  9. Google 'Rocky boot inserts' Paul. There is a good selection of what you may be looking for there. I have used the Rocky Terra Suspension Footbed, in work and hunting boots. I've found them to be quite comfortable.
  10. My point exactly!!! Thank You!
  11. So.....why do you care if someone wants to hunt with a crossbow Oct. 1st??? Won't effect what YOU do, right??? The coalition is looking to change the law, to accept changes. Just like what was done when compound bows were deemed legal, alongside traditional bows. Quite simply, the argument is the same.
  12. HaHaHa....you're too funny! Not that it matters at all, but I've probably been killing deer with a bow, since before you were a twinkle in your mom's eye. Good try mister troll.
  13. Was there a crossbow raffle??? No? Well, maybe next year!
  14. That is certainly a lot of assumptions there. Lazy? Uneducated? Unethical? Wounding deer? Not looking for the wounded deer? The vast majority of crossbow hunters are "ALSO" bowhunters!! I just never think it's a good thing to talk down other hunters, who choose to legally hunt differently than you.
  15. So easy to love them. So hard to lose them.
  16. Hi! My name is Dave......I'm a lureoholic. Yes!!! A support meeting at BPS will good therapy!! Utica is about halfway between us!! Each time I tell my wife I'm going to Bass Pro, she just rolls her eyes, and gives me that "Really Dave"??? look!....lol
  17. When Dinsdale talks guns, and shooting, I listen!! The voice of experience talking.
  18. Just remembered, the ones I have are the red 'Tackle Logic Bag'. And you are right about needing a few, because I have at least dozen of them. I found them to be really handy during tournaments, because I could keep them out on the deck. Have one for each type of bait I would be using, depending on location, like Rob stated. And like Rob, I have WAY too much tackle!!! And still buy more!! It's a sickness, and I need help!
  19. Check out the Z Man Bait Binders. I've used something similar for years, and it works great !
  20. I will almost guarantee it! Get out there and get him this fall!
  21. 7mm-08.......all day with 120gr. NBTs! Light recoil and lights out, DRT results. Your daughter will never need another deer rifle using this cartridge.
  22. It very likely is the same buck! The tine length and overall size is VERY similar. I almost fell out of the stand, when I saw him coming down the side hill!!! Saw five different bucks that day! What a magical spot.
  23. Fantastic work as always Jason!!! You are the best! Those two bucks are absolute studs!! The "Pack Mount" is just too cool!! The BIG 9pt is a true monarch of the deer woods! Congratulations Brian, on a great season!!! And best of luck for another great season this fall! Make some more room on the wall!
