Except for a couple of doe's with fawns, pretty quiet and warm here.

When I do hunt from a stand, I prefer a big ol' pine or hemlock tree. That being said, my newest stand is in an oak!...lol There was no pine or hemlock close enough, to where it had to be. Great looking spot Rob!!

Up and at em, for the first hunt of the season for me!!! My lifelong hunting partner and I, will be heading over to the lake property this morning. A huge natural funnel, with lots of oaks. Hunting from the ground, and always a great early season spot. A lot of deer sign in there when I was checking the blinds a few weeks ago. Always a bunch of doe's filtering through, with the chance of a decent buck too. Will hunt the morning, go do a little work at the farm, then hit some observation stands for the warm afternoon sit. Best of luck to all heading out today! Especially the youth hunters, and their mentors!

My heartfelt condolences, thoughts, and prayers to you and your family. I have made some lifelong friends from this forum. And everyone you mentioned, that came to the wake is a great guy. I've met some of em. Including Cathy, who is a sweetheart! They just don't come any better, than most of the people here.

I don't know for certain, but I would assume any of the standard chokes will work in a TC. Most chokes are not firearm brand specific. As long as you have the correct gauge.

I have one very similar to this, that a bought from a member a couple years ago. Only tried it a couple times, and it wasn't for me. You are welcome to it, if you want it? Will send a picture when I get home later.

Looks great! Only problem I've had with hub blinds, is they sometimes cave in under heavy wet snow. But I don't have this model. Good luck out there!

We have not had power since yesterday afternoon. Not expected to come on until tonight some time? We were like little house on the prairie last night. Kinda fun! The farm is out too, and that is about 15 min. from where I live. But did a quick wash and made it to work this morning! So far no one has complained about any smell? Will be out for the first hunt of the year on Saturday morning......
