  1. Except while hunting with a bow: "It is unlawful to: Possess a firearm of any description when bowhunting or accompanying a person bowhunting during special bowhunting seasons."
  2. I make it a point to vote each and every time. If nothing else I believe it gives me a legitimate right to complain. I never use to but I have voted in every one for the last several and even make it a point to vote in the local ones to "try" and keep my taxes down. It ain't workin but I am not giving up the fight.
  3. Worth the price for a quickie cleaning after a hard day of hunting.
  4. It is simply because Cuomo always takes a bunch with him on his trips to Puerto Rico.
  5. That and the other one: "America was never great" , suing the federal government over Puerto Rico storm response, and his "safe act" law, he will still get re-elected.
  6. That is about the most brilliant thing I have heard in quite some time unless of course there are kids or other responsibilities that you have to pick up the slack for. If that is the case...shame on you.

    Frost?

I can't wait...I am so sick of these 80 & 90 degree days and high humidity, along with having to mow every three or four days. I probably will but sure hope I don't end up in hell.
  8. Have any idea what kind of tree a tree book is made from?
  9. A coyote will kill every fox they can catch. Have seen a number of reds killed in traps by coyotes. While they do coexist fox will have a tendency to not be seen and more than likely if you see one it will be on the run. Grays can and will climb a tree so they have an advantage over the red. Coyotes can have an impact on the red fox population.
  10. Pretty windy out there...make sure a tree doesn't fall on you
  11. Still pretty warm for hunting as far as I am concerned but to each their own Average Las Vegas temperatures High °F Low °F High °C Low °C 58 39 January 14 4 63 43 February 17 6 70 49 March 21 10 78 56 April 26 13 89 66 May 32 19 99 75 June 37 24 104 81 July 40 27 102 79 August 39 26 94 71 September 34 22 81 59 October 27 15 66 47 November 19 8 57 39 December 14 4
  12. The only thing I would be hunting in or anywhere near Vegas is AC. Why anyone would want to hunt in any of those hot states and deal with those temperatures is beyond me.
  13. "Bow target from dicks" ANOTHER REASON NOT to shop there
  14. That is known as a shagbark hickory and that is the way they grow & look. No tree Dr. needed.
  15. I learned that a long time ago after several brushes with death and some really close calls. You can never take it for granted and try to find some pleasure in each day. We should all try to leave this world with as few regrets as possible. Hope things work out for you on the road to recovery.
  16. They were correct about summer let's see if they are correct about winter:
  17. I like to keep mine 25yds & under even though I practice farther. Main reason being I want to have a reasonable expectation I can see what the arrow does and where it hits or misses. Important thing to remember is when you make a shot; visually mark a easy identifiable spot before you get down or take a step. It makes it a lot easier to find the spot to look and I don't trust my judgement much beyond 30 yards. The farther you shoot the harder it is to find the arrow/blood trail unless it drops in it's tracks which I have never seen. Closer shots also give one the opportunity to watch the deer after it is hit and get a better handle of what direction it is heading and how bad it is hit. Closer the better for me
  18. That makes two of us People bitching and NOT voting is what keeps getting him elected and gave us the safe act.

  20. What is really sad is the fact that roughly 74% of registered Democrats in the state did not even vote. That amounts to roughly 26% of registered Democrats are making the decisions for their party. If the same trend is followed in the elections it really makes people in general look stupid. As small as it may be each one of us has a tool to use and by not using that tool (a Vote) we succumb to a small minority making decisions that effect all of us. Cuomo will continue to succeed because of our own stupidity, lack of participation, and giving the minority the right to determine our future not for his skills in leadership.
  21. I happen to agree and I understand there is a interest and desire to watch for some but I don't think tying up all the networks is necessary. It is the only "sport" I can think of that has the influence. I don't know anyone that even watches it at all.
  22. Another example of: "Not missing something til it's gone" Thanks burmjohn and the moderators that keep it alive
