It was a pretty normal season for me, sightings were great during bow, slowed down a bit during the day once gun season started, so I started still hunting and we did drives. Saw and kicked plenty of deer up hunting that way. Activity picked right back up for muzzleloader season. My freezer ended up plenty full, as usual. Reports from others in my area were pretty normal as well.

I would tend to agree. In my area 8n/8h, deer numbers are pretty high. With the deer being out feeding and very visible at this time, you can drive around just about any time of the day and find herds of 20+ around just about every corner.

Yes. I personally know one person that had their guns taken away because of a text message he sent when he was pissed off, ended up with a temporary RO, that expired and was not renewed, but still has not gotten his guns back. The original RO was filed close to 3 years ago, and expired after 6 months. He was never charged or convicted of anything. BTW, it was all of his guns, he didnt own any handguns. Just the usual hunting rifles, shotguns and a ML.

We have deer coming out of our ears over there. I see herds of 20+ at a time every day. You really have to watch yourself driving, and it doesnt matter the time of day. I had 3 of them pop out and almost became hood ornaments around noon one day last week or the week before. I think your son lives less than 2 miles from my place.

Agent Biz and Agent Grow pulled up in the Grand Marquis. Everyone wondered if Agent Grow was there to issue Wolc a ticket for shooting the button buck out of season, but she opened the trunk and pulled out a stack of cardboard. Im scheduled for a work trip the weekend of youth season. Hopefully I can move it to the following weekend. The field where I typically see them is going to be a little tougher this year than last, as whoever cut the corn, left the stubble very long. Ive already been scouting them and will have a couple of different setups in different fields and ill glass in the mornings and see where they are for a few days before we hunt. Hopefully Ill be taking more pictures of Haley holding up a big old longbeard again. As for May 1st, it will depend on what I see scouting, but my plan wont be much different than it is for Haley for youth season.
