Mike Rossi did not quit the forum, he had a hissy fit, posted all kind of crap on here about John, so I called him on it and banned him. He asked to be allowed back after I did so. I told him no.

I wont be out this weekend, Ill be camping with the kids and theres no where to fish where we are camping. I may be going up to Black Lake to fish a tournament next weekend with a buddy though. I have eaten bass before, its not my favorite, so I just toss them back.

They were both misinformed about hitches -

The only way they can ticket you for it is if the hitch or ball is blocking the license plate. Obstruction of the plate is illegal, so that is most likely what the ticket was, the hitch just caused the obstruction. -

I always leave the hitch on my truck, never had one stolen. I get a kick out of each new shade of paint I find on it. Id much rather have the idiots bump into that than the rear bumper. -
Everytime I buy more, I tend to get more than I really need at the time because I figure it may be the last time Im allowed to buy it here.

I have never had an issue with casings, I buy salted natural casings for fresh sausage, and let them soak in warm water for 5 or 10 mins before I use them, just to get some of the salt off. When I use collagen ones, I dont do anything but slide them onto the nozzle of the stuffer. When I make sausage that I plan on cooking as patties, I make it into patties with a burger press right away and freeze them with wax paper in between each patty so they are ready to go when I thaw and cook them. BTW, get a stuffer, makes it super fast and simple.

In all fairness to the point he is making, he sees them as vermin, same as a mouse or rat in his barn. Its also no different than Curmudgeon saying that he wishes the coyotes would kill off all the fawns in his area.

Yeah Ive read some on rutabaga and have been thinking of doing those instead of turnips. Maybe Ill look into that this year.

We are trying corn in a couple of plots again this year, its going in this week or early next week. A bit late, but thats ok, we arent harvesting it. Some of our other plots will be turnips/rape/hog radish and others a winter wheat/clover mix. Weve been talking about beans and peas, but our plots are smallish so that stuff gets wiped out without a fence, and I have better things to spend money on than a fence for a food plot lol. I usually get my brassica and winter wheat seed from the local Agway, as I have had great luck with them for the last 4 or 5 years. Ill most likely order my clover from DeerAg. He has a really nice blend that Ive seen in my buddys plots.

I have never seen the farmers so...

Yep, the wet weather has them running behind this year. Beans and corn going in everywhere around here the last week or two. -
I did the same thing yesterday

Mine make no noise, Ive played around with them to try and hear anything, but never have. Some of the cheap cams Ive tried out, theres a noticeable clunk when the filter drops down. I do not use regular IR cams anymore, only black flash.
-
I wear boots and spray the cams with scent killer when I leave. Most of the time I put them in locations that I can access while still sitting in my wheeler, that way my feet never touch the ground, and if possible, I place them high enough that the deer dont notice them.
-
There are quite a few cameras available that, in my experience, dont alert deer at all. My Covert and Browning black flash cams are awesome. I have plenty of videos and pics that show mature bucks and does hanging out right in front of them without any spooking or negative reactions to the cameras being there. You just have to be careful about how and when you check them. You just have to do your research on which cams to use and how to use them.

I will start putting cameras out this weekend, when I start work on the food plots. Scouting for hunting locations has already been done during the early winter, as their activity this time of the year is different from what it is in the fall. I keep an eye on food sources, which will be available in the fall, over the summer, and adjust some hunting strategies according to what is growing.

HAHAHA, rust Ill give you, she has a bit, but there arent any oil leaks. Its a Dodge, not a Ford. Here are the steps Im thinking about for it, almost like camper steps lol
