Hi Katelinn and welcome to the forums.
I know there are several members here who frequent that range. I hope you find some help. Wish I lived a little closer or I would help out.
Sooo many great memories. One that stands out was a time where I arrowed a deer on my property. I saw the doe go down. I called the house and had my kids come out. I showed them the arrow and started them on the blood trail. They found the deer. We prayed together over the deer. They helped me gut the deer. They helped me drag out the deer. They helped me hang, skin and butcher the deer. Took me a 1/2 hour just to gut it because I took my time and answered all of their questions. It's a day I will treasure forever.
Ok school me here old timers. Do mechanical broadheads go back 24 years? I would like to see the recovery rates of mechanical heads over the last 10 years.
And from what I'm told, you will no longer get a lifetime licence card. It will be printed on the bottom of your drivers licence.
Be prepared to be asked by every LEO who pulls you over, if you have a gun.
When we first built the camp in 2000 we had deer everywhere. Everyone saw deer on at least opening day. Now I can go an entire N. Tier rifle season and not even see a doe unless we put on drives. I would love to know what happened or what changed.
Years ago Marlin made the Marauder. About the closest you will get to a scout rifle. It was a great rifle and highly sought after by collectors (and me).
