I hate Bushnell. If were me, I'd sell the Bushnell for whatever I could get out of it and by a Nikon, or Leupold.

What Was Your Biggest Disappointment This Season?
mowin replied to squirrelwhisperer's topic in Bow Hunting
I wish I had more time to get out. Kitchen reno kept me at home helping my buddy on the project. Ok, more like a gopher, or go cut this board, lol. Never took a shot at a deer this yr. First time in around 40 yrs of hunting I didn't fill a single tag. Enjoyed the time I did get out. Even passed on a few smaller bucks. -
Never got into trapping, but really enjoy reading about it and the techniques used. I personally don't see anything wrong with the pic. It's part of the process.

Huge shout out to @518BowSlayer. AKA Ryan. He offered to mount the buck for cost as he's learning trade. Think he did a fantastic job. The pic next to it was painted by my aunt in the early 40's. Dominic will be so happy. I've got my other grandnephews head in the freezer, and Ryan is going to look for a cape and hopefully I can have both or there first deer mounted. That's again Ryan. Outstanding job.

But do you come running also....

I really like that name. Might have to borrow that name for the next fur baby. Can that be a female name? We usually only get female's.

Maintenance is required no matter the weapon. Bore snakes are made for .22's also. Shot too many tree rats and bunnies with my single shot .410. great memories.
-
I love a .22. Less damage. But can't discount the .22 mag or .17. But those do more damage and requires head shots only.

I have a good friend of mine that named his son( 7 months old) Henry. His dog is named Marlin. Lol So, how about Marlin?

Congrats on the new family member. He's too dam cute. While I like Ruger, it's getting too common as is Remi. How about Tika, or Henry? Both great firearm manufacturer's.

If it's bothering you to the extent that you need to post the same pic several times, maybe you should take your own advice and let it go. But you continue to post the same pic.. why? Don't follow the thread. Simple, easy and effective. It's your choice to ignore it, but for some reason, you can't.

Ok, this is NOT helping.

I've got a new truck and plow, and even I don't want any snow...

Have a guy near me that dips skulls. He has a American flag dip that's new for this year. Haven't seen it yet, but I was thinking about getting one done, but the bucks didn't corporate.

I've got hope then....

Bump for a great rifle. Had the exact one yrs back. Absolute tack driver. 1/2" groups at 100 yrds.

I also have the Cabela's commercial vac sealer. Had it about 8 yrs. Great VS. I also have a commercial chamber unit. It's a older model from the '70's and has seen a tremendous amount of use. It's getting old, and parts are very hard to get, and expensive. I'll definitely buy another chamber unit when this one dies.

That I've never hit the release, or trigger. Don't plan on taking anything this ML either. Things have definitely changed for me this yr as far as tagging a deer. I'm not a trophy hunter. Never have been, never will be. Had what I would call a great time and season. What time I spent in the woods was very special to me. The only regret I have is not helping to supplying my grandnephews/nieces with venison. Others have taken care of that. Highlight of my season was my brother probably taking his last deer. A 6pt. He's said it's his last season. Too hard to get out there. I'll do my best to prove him wrong. Hopefully he can get one, or three more seasons and maybe a doe or two before he just can't get out again.

That's, awesome. Cousin had a band called the "Local 50's and 60's band. He's the only member still alive. Remember them playing at Halloween parties and weddings.

Guess my bday buck didn't get the memo. Again. Lol. Still a great day in the woods. I'm 1- 41 for b-day bucks. Last yr was the only time in 41 hunting seasons I connected. Shot quite a few bucks the day before or after, though. -
