Drive my wife up the wall about how much im ready and want to get out there. Tell her the same stories again from last year. By the time it gets here shes usually kicking me out the door and handing me my gear just so ill shut up. Thats after she gives me a kiss and tells me she'll see me in december. Lol

I had one doe this year freaking out about it. But thats it. Fawns seem to like investigating it and the younger bucks.

Never seen that before. It would make a good ground blind.

This is what I use the only problem i have with it is i cant or havent figure out how to save pictures to it to bring home and put on my computer. So i just bring an extra card to put in camera and take the reader and check it out in my stands.

Just got done doing 9hrs at work. Now off to the dump and blackberry picking with the kids.

Just venting. Took my kids for a ride today on a piece of stateland. I've been hunting this piece for 16years since its right next to my parents place. Signs all over the place to stay on road, no shooting at turn around, theres a little gravel pit that has a no vehichle sign. Its all damaged someone went muddying down all the ditches so it will be impossible to park out of the way this year without getting sucked down into the ruts. Someone took a quad into the pit cut a bunch of sapplings down and trashed the little pond. Go up to the turn around and theres beer cans, shotgun shells, burnt tires, and even more tree cuts. Kids kept asking why? All i could say is that some people dont use the lump 3ft above there a**. Just drives me nuts and then those same people would be the first to complain if they kept gate shut all year. Sorry about rant. Feel better now.

All my fawns on camera still have spots.

I know how you feel .setting treestands yesterday i was lucky to find a yellow jackets nest. They got me on the top of the head 20ft up the tree. But i got back at them shot the nest down. Didnt realize they made nests in trees but now i do.

Im not good at guessing age but looks like he has a pot belly on him. So my guess hes old. I'm with you ide put an arrow in him.

Mines not a buck its an ancient dry doe i call black stripe. She has a dark stripe from the back of her head to her tail and never has a fawn or another deer with her. She seems to never leave the lease and i cant ever seem to get a shot at her.

I've always been one not to shy away from a running deer shot if i can't get them to stop. But that ended last year when i killed my biggest buck on a drive put a poor shot on it and ruined some meat, ended up tracking it down and putting another one in it. That was enough for me to let them run by if i cant stop them. But my friend can only seem to hit them if they are running 100mph.

Only a handful of smaller ones, one big one you can just see a beam on in video, and what i thought was a good one is just a 4pt out a little past the ears. But they are all shooters for me. But not as many as past years.
