probably this one - was just a great photo from one of my stands. Even though i did get 3 deer this was my favorite pic. My favorites for the year like Cynthia said are a bunch of other folks pics. Like Duke and the big buck and three generations with Treeguy, and Lomax and his grandkids on a blood trail and TC111 with a bucket full of deers, and moog with a big buck and a bloody nose lol etc......lots of em.

Maybe because it has been so warm? Was watching the news and it's like the 3 warmest summer ever and Sept is in the top 10 warmest ever as well. Maybe they are spending more time in the dark due to the heat..... Just a thought

i rarely walk in when its completely dark. Too many times not being able to see whats there, i bump deer and they run off blowing and blow the whole damn area out. I like to go in just light enough that i can see outlines of a deer and then can sneak in quiet without a light. If deer are near the stand i was going to hunt I can plan to work in a different way.

If i lived close to you (wolc) i would still be over and put some bracing on that new tower you built though! it bothers me .....

Yeah got a few Reds left, but i only drink a beer or two a week. I rarely if ever drink on the boat. If i do it is one. A DWI on the boat is the same as in a car and can lose your license etc. And esp since I have a CDL, am a 19A DMV examiner, def driving instructor and run a drug and alcohol testig program, it just isnt in my best interest. Hopingto get out another couple of times for walleyes and perch but the lure of hunting is a strong one!

Pulled some carrots for venison stew for the opener weekend.

We are lucky with rocks here. Can't find a pebble around our hunting spot. Swampy and flat as a pancake. We've gone over some good sized saplings but def wouldn't try a large group of them. But my buddy cut all our trails on 120 acres in about 3 hours. Perfect machine for us and hopefully we get 10+ years out of ours.
