Sad really.. -
I have seen a no doe rule in some of our management units . I do not see why they wouldn't go the other way.
-
I would take them down and put a posted sign on the tree with your # on it. Look at the tax maps and call all the neighboring property owners letting them know whats up and where they can find their stands(might give you a chance for a face to face meet also). Explain to them that you realize it has been un-posted for years, but that you have paid to lease the property and would appreciate their respect, as friendly like as possible to start. Good neighbor relations are priceless. They are more likely to stay off if you are someone they can relate to than some out of area jack#@#@# throwing your money around and booting them off "their" local lands.. Oh and do not forget to mention the 1/2 dozen trail cams you have placed(true or not) around the property.

3 of my lifelong friends that I hunt with each have a newer Mathews... 2-Z7s and 1 Z7 extreme. They are great bows ,but I have to razz them every chance I get..This is coming from me who bought a bow with a lifetime warranty from a company that built 2 different models for 1 year in 2011 and now are out of business.lol
-
I cannot tell if you are messing with us..lol A 47# dw Mathews capable of shooting a 470 grain arrow more than 50 yds not to mention burying the arrow 28" in the ground is a rare find indeed.
-
During turkey season also? I'm planning on trying to get a bird this year..
-
I guess it's just our perspectives...I have no interest in going back through and counting who whined were and on what side. Like I said. It appears to be poorly implemented, but putting the x bow season in the last 1/2 of archery is a good compromise..imho I am betting that the pro xbowers are still going to push for full inclusion though?
-
This subject demonstrates exactly why, we sportsman/ gunowners don't stand a chance against the anti gun crowd...we cannot agree on anything..Even a compromise within our own sport...Many of us didn't want xbows in archery at all..State comes up with a plan that is middle of the road (albeit not well thought out in the details)and the pro xbow guys are p%%&& and moaning. I do not see too many of the anti guys complaining... The pro argument is as full of holes as the anti..

I think I'm in trouble...
ncountry replied to Merlot's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Hey , put it in a box without a return address, drop it off at the post office and send it to me. lol . Last year while hunting, the squirrels were driving me nuts. A hawk flew in to my area of the woods and sat in a tree not far from me, and it became quite peaceful. Maybe a stuffed owl would be just the ticket. -

I would do a little more research . A quick look shows that it may be ok to keep, at least within the family .Grandfathered in. -
I have never owned one, but had a friend that did. I would say right around that year .It gave him 0 problems for 5 years. The best riding p/u /suv I've ever ridden in. We could drive 20 mph down this old logging rd that in a normal p/u we were limited to 5..lol

Looks like the start to a full freezer!! Nice looking spot

In the northern zone ,the early ml season is actually in the last 7 days of archery.

NY DEC: 2013 Deer Harvest Results are In
ncountry replied to burmjohn's topic in NYS DEC News and Annoucements
I would have to completely agree with everything you said. Like I said ,"from what I have seen" It does not seem to work as well as planned. Just my personal experience. Nuisance or destroy permits are even worse. Imho -

In theory the dmap permit system should be an excellent tool.. From what I have seen it is an easily abused system used by the local farms to devestate a local herd. On average they view the deer as vermin not as a source of food and enjoyment.. these same farmers will let very few if anybody hunt. -
Is this one of John's (Breathn)bows? PSE guru is an understatement..lol . His strings are among the best, or the best to be had..As well as one of the best bow tuners out there..

How about 1st buck tag is an antlered deer 3"+ on one side, 2nd buck tag is 4 points or better on one side? -

I was just talking to a friend yesterday about Williston ND. Her son has been there since December, straight out of school and the farm, he has banked 40 grand so far. Cheap housing and land is a thing of the past though. Ridiculous prices for rent and land now. You better have an RV and be willing to park it in a field ..lol -

Anybody ever use the signs where the words are cut out of the plastic sign?

So true.
