RobC
So I finally did it. After 3 years this being the 4th I finally got a buck and with my bow. I started hunting 3 years ago with the intentions of getting a monster. I let dozens of deer go because I had the idea in my head that a bigger one was coming then be pissed off at the end of the season with no buck. I got a basket 8pt and couldn't be happier. I'll post a pic soon.

Guns&ReligionCop
Congrats brother!!!! I hate the misconception that people get from TV watching programs like the bucks of tecomate where giant deer after giant deer walk by until this absolute monster steps out. As a beginner and deer hunting with a bow anything is a trophy maybe after a few deer you start passing on those little spikes for something a little nicer. Thats just maturing as a hunter but if you are waiting for a south texas deer to step out, you are going to be disappointed unless your hunting fenced in deer like they do. RobC
Shot it from my climber at about 5 yards away. Cost of a mount was a bit much for this one but I did skin and boiled the head today and I'm going to do a European mount.
