Possible Blizzard for Friday.8 to 12" expected and as much as 2' in some higher terrain,been a long time since we so that kind of snow here in eastern Dutchess County. :yahoo:

Screw the wind though. That just makes it too dangerous as far as driving goes.

They're saying anywhere from 6-12" on NorthShore of LI. Getting my snowblower ready tomorrow. Hoping it starts after sitting for nearly two years.

I have had enough.this snow sucks,its a-hole deep to a tall indian,and so fluffy snowshoes wont do much.We need a little warmup so I can get out and call some yotes!!

Good luck....Here in southern Steuben we are supposed to be right on the SW edge..They are predicting 1-3" and I hope they're right...I am hoping for a snow-free window sometime before the spring thaw so I can get a truckload of lime spread on my food plot.

If you get a bunch of snow, be careful out there...

On a sober note, a friend of mine dropped dead shoveling snow a couple days ago.

Bought 4 cases of hair spray and dumped a gallon of used car oil on the burn pile. Going to see if I can jump start some global warming today by lighting up the bur pile and sprayin all the hairspray outside.

I am sick of the snow myself. Unfortunately, it never misses us here.

We really could use more snow here, for the water content. It's dry here still, from last summers drought. Grounds sucking up huge amounts of water, Water table is still lower than normal. Know most people don't want to see it, but without it, another dry year could be in order.

Lawdwaz, your prayers were answered -- after gassing up and priming my Snow Blower about 20 times, it sputtered, smoked and finally started up - Wahoo!!!!

The forecast has been updated for my area..Now they are predicting 6" to 12", although we are still south and west of the heaviest snowfall..

My snowblower is ready to roll..Already used it twice this year. I'd better grab an extra 30 pack of beer, though...
