Anyone else NOT seeing any buck sign so far????

I just got back from bow hunting in Cayuga county for the last 2 and a half days. I'm amazed at the lack of rubs and scrapes this year. Last season there was plenty of rubs and scrapes the first weekend of bow season. This maybe the first time I have failed to see so little buck sign on our property. We did see a couple small bucks. We actually saw more bucks than does. There are numerous fields in the area with corn that has not been cut yet so I'm sure there are tons of deer hanging out in the corn. The hunting should pick up.

Any thoughts?

I'm over in Steuben and still have corn up but we are seeing lots of sign. Rubs and scrapes.

Just like last year, I have come across far more scrapes than I have rubs. This is exactly opposite what I have seen in all my previous years of hunting. Actually, I have seen way more bucks than the sign would indicate. Can't explain it. It looks like we are developing "stealth bucks".  ;D

I like to call them Ghost bucks. I have a spot in Kirkwood I hunt that I once hunted for 4 days straight without seeing any rubs. The last morning I hunted and headed home to run some errands, came back around 4 pm and there was a new rub not more than 10 ft from where my stand was.

I was out yesterday and got wet 3 times, came in and put the togs in the dryer. I saw a total of one wet young doe3. Not a bit of sign on the edge of our pasture and corn field. No sign of rut at all. I do have some great rubs from I think in se[tember time frame.

Scrapes around my place opened up early this year. I have a couple of cams set up watching scrapes. There has been NO scrape activity in the past week! The scrapes that were active have gone cold. They haven't even paid attention to my mock scrapes in the past week.

Saw a nice eight point harassing a few does yesterday morning, plus  2 other bucks running a field. Then  hunting that evening I had a 4 point under my stand and watched another buck making scrapes below me on another ridge. They have the pre rut jitters bad.

I am just starting to see some scrapes in the last two or three days. This coming week should be good. Rubs hardly any. Except one in my lawn last night!

I'm seeing lots of scrape activity and they are being cleaned and used but actually seeing deer the past few days it's dried up. Scratching my head over this. Seen a number of rubs too. I hate when you know they are there and you don't see them. I'd take seeing some does.

a lot of scrape activity and rubs. I had two awesome 8 pointer chase a doe my my stand yesterday but not close enough for a bow shot.

I have not really seen any sign.Most of the pics I have been getting are at night.I did take a 7pt yesterday.It was only the second deer I have seen this seson.

During muzzleloader week here in the NZ I saw quite a few fresh scrapes but then some warm weather came and since then things are dead-no activity at all.  It is cold now, even had an inch or two of snow yesterday and still nothing coming to the scrapes.  I got pics of some of the bucks and even saw some of them while hunting(I'm not for AR but by choice I passed them up so I am not a brown it's down guy just becasue I don't support AR ) but it is almost like the earth swallowed them up.  I am almost positive they didn't all get shot but I can't even get any pics of them now????????????

Saw two bucks still runnin together this morning. Seeing small bucks and some scraping. Nothing super exciting yet.

The couple of scrape made last week have not been touched again and no new ones also not much for rubs. I am seeing tons of little bucks but nothing older than 1.5 so far. Soon I hope like Friday, I am off. ;D

A couple of scrapes that were used last year. Were just opened this week. To the best of my memory they were opened around the same time last year. And within days all hell broke loose. So things are gonna change

Went out Tuesday morning seen about 2 new scrapes and a bunch of fresh rubs followed a line of rubs from one side of the mountain to the other

My spot has been tore up for some time. Rubs and scrapes everywhere. Been seeing more bucks then ever. Bucks grunting chasing been wild.

My friend shot a nice 8pt yesterday Am while it was breeding a doe !

ive got rubs and scrapes and buck after buck on trail cam, right under the stand! and still none of them showing there face when im there or in day light time for that matter...
