I know many of you guys liked following my posts last year on our hunting adventures with my Redtail Hawk Moka. Well here she is now with her her full red tail. Been hunting her quite a bit but we still have so much vegetation on the underbrush it makes it kinda hard. Our last years tally on rabbits was 55. So far we're up to 4 for the season this year. It'll only get better once the snow starts. Gonna try and get some better vids this year too.

Lets see... Rabbit season is open for 151 days and the daily limit is 6. 151 x 6 = 906 potential legal season total.  He took 55!

55 rabbits.....Why does "game hog" come to mind?

 

I know lots of guys that run rabbit dogs that get that number or more yearly,He is within the illegal limits set fourth by the state so zip it.To many people on here with nothing good to bring to the plate but hate and BS.I love hearing about people that run birds for hunting.Its becoming a lost sport,Keep it up love seeing the pictures

I've knowed a few guy who hunt and kill a lot of rabbit....maybe not 55 rabbit, but a lot.  Just a short while back, I seen two hawks hunting over a brushlot that I knew prolly had a dozen or more rabbit in it.  They struck out....had to leave when three coyote approached.  Must have been a wildlife hot spot:  Also seen deers...two buck and 4 doe and 2 fawn.  Was hoping that one of the hawk would return to tackle one of the fawn.  Somethin must have happened after I gone home....found part of what appeared to be 2-3 rabbit kills in the same spot the next day.  I will wait a few day and go back.
