Finally found a mature deer to shoot...

So 70 something days into the season I took my first deer of the year... Wow.. tough year.. saw nothing but young deer all year during legal hunting hours... Finally, this past Sunday, Deer #11 of the day came up and was a good one... 130 lb doe, shot at 45 yards, T/C Pro Hunter, 110 grains of Blackhorn 209, 250 grain bonded T/C shockwave... Spent the year trying to get my wife, son and friend deer... Got everyone deer, now it was my turn!!!!

It was a great way to end a tough season. Getting my friend Sandy a deer Monday afternoon topped the Black powder season off.

Yeah, NY zone 4Z, I do most of my hunting there.... I do have a small place I hunt in 4Y but I usually only go there if I get a doe permit.. Longer drive...
