Mixed green salad and French onion soup with toasted garlic French bread, topped with fresh shredded Guryere cheese melted over the top. A semi dry red wine.

this sound's great did you make the soup?I like soup but love breakfast for dinner  as well sometimes.

I Don't use recipes...That said,yellow cooking onions...I like a bold taste but sweet. So they are slowly caramelized in butter and olive oil.Oil keeps butter from Browning.I use cast iron pans. To this I add slaved garlic cloves. Then I transfer to a stock pot and add the 2 bay leaf, semi dry wine and half and half of chicken and beef stock, boxed or can..to avoid saltiness..simmer slowly an hour

Going to try my first ever pulled back loin/strap.I seasoned with a mix of dry rub it is in the smoker not sure how long about 4 hours?then I will shred mix with sweet baby rays bbq sauce and serve on soft rolls with a side of slaw.Smoker set at 275deg

BEAN SOUP..!! I have had it simmering all morning with a nice meaty ham bone, plus some onions, pressed home grown garlic, bay leaf, rosemary, finely diced carrots, and of course some coarse ground black pepper..The Mermaid is stopping at Wegman's Bakery in Corning to pick up a nice fresh loaf of fresh crusty bread to go with it.

Saturday I am invited to a friend's house for a game dinner..I'll be making Lawdwaz's killer venison oven stew as my contribution.
