woodsdweller
had a guy tell me about a bobcat climbing a tree and jumping on a turkey and stayed on it right to it hit the ground and finnished it off. he said it was just getting first light on a morning spring turkey hunt. WNYBuckHunter
Cool pics, but it just shows the bobcat attacking a deer, there are no pics of it feeding on the dead deer or of the carcass. Also, we dont know if the deer was injured or sick before the bobcat attacked it. This is also the first time I have seen pics of a bobcat killing a grown deer. Does it happen? Probably sometimes, but does it happen regularly or to healthy, full grown deer? Who knows. Im just skeptical about these things.
JGaruti3
good point...could be a deer that was already dead that the bobcat found
WNYBuckHunter
No, you can see the deer seems to be alive in the pics, but who says it wasnt injured or sick and weakened. Just thinking out loud.
erussell
and in one of the pics you can see other deer running off to. So im sure the deer wasnt already dead.

I agree the deer was probably injured or sick or something that allowed a bobcat to attack it and bring it down.

Culvercreek hunt club
Cats are probably pound for pound the best predators out there. they are just build for killing. Makes me glad I wasn't running around when the sabre tooths were roaming the earth.
First-light
i just think about those people out in the midwest, out jogging on a trail that get mauled or killed by a mountain lion. You have no defense against a big cat like that.

Santamour123
We all know a full growndog can kill a deer. I have ran cats for a few years with hounds. And I will tell you that a cat even after beinghit will pound the hell out of a dog. We never got to the point were they will kill a dog . But, we did not wait that long. But. I can definatly see it happen. A 50 lb cat could esily take down a deer.
