If you could only have one "firearm" a shotgun would be he logical choice. For me, that would be a 12ga (3") Ithaca M37 W/ a 28" vent rib barrel & a 24" smooth bore slug barrel.

My wife would have a Remington 870 or maybe she would upgrade to a Top of the line autoloader in 3 1/2 mag

 

My daughter would have My savage 10ML11

 

My oldest dog would have a 7600 Remington in either 270 or 30-06

 

my middle dog would have a 44 mag smith and wesson 629

 

my puppy would have a Ruger 10-22 with all the trimmings

 

the cat would have a hi grade bolt in .223 or 22-250

 

the turtle would have a 9mm or 40 cal compact pistol

 

the fish(you know the ones the turtle eats) would have a array of different shotguns and rifle...you know whatever they may feel fits the bill

30-06 the most versatile load I have!  55 grain and up!  But I mainly hunt deer.  Bow would work for everything else.

it would be my pistols that are registered.  seems i might not own anything else.  lol  i can't very well get rid of something you know i don't own.  that said a stainless bolt action 30-06 is a nice all round gun and caliber.  could probably find one of those around some where.

 

....bad for small game you say?  you didn't make me give up my bows and they're fine for that.

my dad could probably find one of those '76 model year and top eject.  I'd like to think he'd hang on to it.  it's nothing special to the gun world in the grand picture of that model but it'd mean a lot to both of us and my brother.
