After hunting most of the day today, I finally see a buck late this afternoon.  Couldn't get a good shot-heavy brush at first, then only an opening for a couple of seconds.  Grunted him still, but when he stopped he was in heavy brush again.  Then disappeared.

Just good to see one.  Got one with the bow, but this is first buck I've seen after bow season.

I've had too many disturbances at my spot.  A woman keeps bringing her dang dogs for a walk all over the woods.  She was out there this afternoon at 2.  

 

One shot, when she's close, will get her attention, and remind her that it's deer season and that there's hunters out there. 

 

Now, if she's pasted in orange, she knows, she doesn't care. These people exist.

Just got busted by a 4 pointer. His head made it into the clearing but wouldn't take another step. Stood for literally only a couple of seconds and that was all he needed to realize something wasn't right.

Made it out to 9h a little late but I'm here , nice blanket of snow ... Little shady goin down some of the hills but we'll see what a day of stalking in the white stuff with the smoke pole will produce , have and either sex and doe tag left so all is fair game ....

4L - 7:45 a.m. - busted by 4 doe and 2 fawn.  30 yards, and needed a few more steps before I could pull the bow.  27 degrees, wind at W11.  I think I was winded by a quick swirl.  Unsuccessful ground hunt.

Just passed on a big(tall), but skinny doe... Wanted to shoot, had the hammer back and all.but couldn't get visions of Bullwinkle following her out of my head.. Freezer is full, just waiting for the big guy. I think..beautiful morning so far.very little wind..

Just checked 1 cam.

Nice 6pt on 12/1 at 1am. On 12/3 he walks by at 9am but half rack was broken. Never seen broken rack in my area before .

12/8 a big coyote.

Lots of does/fawns pics as well. Hope the buck comes thru. Will check other cam midday

Cold and snowy, winter for 2days. On stand until 11am than will be back out until dark. Very quiet here, not even a tree rat. May hunt 7r later. Good luck everyone
