Feeling a bit like Biz

Was just invited to dinner with Jeff Van Gundy (former coach and current analyst Knicks) tomorrow at a NYC steak house and the Knicks game on Sunday.  Not sure how that happened, but I will need some pointers from Biz on how to conduct myself in the Big Apple.

Haha. I don't venture to NYC much on the weekends. What Steakhouse? The good thing about is NYC, is odds are nobody will care that Jeff is eating there so you won't be interrupted by a picture or autograph seeker. Only tourists do that kind of stuff.

I haven't been to a Knicks game in years. The garden is magical when they are good, but it's been a while.

You will need a manicure and pedicure.  Biz gets them all the time, so he can give you pointers on where to get this done in the big apple.

Teeth are always a problem for you upstate fellas.  That's why Biz always smiles on the pics he posts of himself.  He wants to show off to you upstate boys who have dental deficiencies.

No manis or pedis for me. I, like Moog, bite my fingernails. My toenails are fine (not jacked up).

I was kidding Biz.  We have nail clippers way up north too!   Van Gundy actually coached my high school team - I didn't play bball but most of my friends did - so it will be fun catching up with my friends many of whom I haven't seen in several years.

Never been inside the Garden so that will be cool too.

So what Steakhouse and hotel? All Jeff's tab?

My buddy made the arrangements. Not even sure which hotel but dinner tomorrow at smith and wolenskys.  Been there a few times already but it's always good.   Printers Alley to watch the NCAAs beforehand.  I guess it owned by one of my friends friends.   No idea what that place is like.

Hotel, dinner and game tickets are covered which is nice.

Bring some diet coke.  That was all JVG would drink while coaching the Knicks.

Amazing career.  Went from being our high school coach to head coach of knicks in 10 years.  That is rocketing through the system for sure.
