He said deer search will find owner. Idk first time calling deer search. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk If they are busy you'll be lucky to get them out there...Do your due diligence while you wait...it is your responsibility if you want to continue your search. If it's a liver hit you could have another 4-6 hours anyway. Edited October 27, 2017 by OtiscoPaul
Fletch
In case someone knows a deer search its a start. I'd be trying to figure out how to track down the landowner as in deer search are not always available. As someone else said it will be cold tonight if it has to wait until morning. It did seem like it got deflected by a beech tree limb. I feel like it caught the underbelly because of the white hair. But there were about 4 or 5 good dinner plate size blood splatters as it trailed it..so I thought that was a good sign. Idk, everything is racing thru my mind right now. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk That is not great sign...but it is not necessarily bad sign either. Get permission, wait to hear from deer search until around 7pm. By then if you have permission but no dog give it another go alone. If you are not sure of deflection then you are not sure of POI. Non lethal Pass thru scenarios include: 1. Way forward 2. One leg 3. Backstraps Edited October 27, 2017 by OtiscoPaul

Found good blood, a couple good splatters here and there. Lost blood at gas line. Other side posted, went to the address on posted sign, gate was down, no one looked to be around. Called Dec to see what my next step was. Told me to call deer search and they would take care of it, if they can. Called them, left voicemail, waiting on call back. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk Arrow looks good, I'm thinking you caught some vital or partial. Stay patient, follow protocol. You may have pushed him only waiting an hour. Get permission and get deer search. If no deer search available, get friends and family.

Glad you are 2/2 ! No problem I just didn't want to be handing out recovery advice on the same page I'm being misquoted as giving up on one. Though I've lost my share I've never given in easy. Thanks for the condolences I'm sure I'll need them again in the future, ha. Edited October 27, 2017 by OtiscoPaul

BowmanMike
Made it up a beech tree,i didn't think i was going to get out today but a work hold up gave me time for the woods. Awesome weather, only problem is the inside of this beech tree is gone, just noticed when i got up here. Since it is not windy i will stay put, this is the only tree that gives me open lanes and covers the two trails that will bring a deer my way. Beechnuts are dropping...

chas0218
Would 4:30pm be too late to get in stand? I have a stand that I have a camera next too but by the time I get home it will be about 4:30ish. I'm going to pull the camera card either way but figured if I was going to be pulling the card I might as well hunt the stand next to it.
