I am just hearing call on my scanner of motorcycle accident on Rt. 31 and Freeman Rd. in Niagara County and they are calling for 2 Mercy Flights to respond to the scene. I can hear all the sirens from my apartment window. It is that time of year when drivers of both cars and motorcycles need to be alert of each other. Be safe out there!

April and early May is always a very dangerous time..... Unfortunately I feel that drivers don't expect motorcyclist out this early and sometimes just aren't paying attention. I also realize it goes both ways and motorcycle list need to be very defensive-minded the first month of the season

That's awful, not blaming it all on car drivers but people need to stay off their phones while driving, I see it almost every day when I'm out and about

I may in the minority but these motorcycles need to be on look out also mainly the crotch rocket guys. So many times I see them flying in and out of lane changes and all the other traffic violations. And the Harley’s I just have a problem with them being so loud and giving a motorcycle a goose of the throttle at a traffic light doesn’t make you a bad ass either

You hear the pipes before you see the bike, keeps you Alert because you know that bike is coming

Riders are itching to get out.  Been a long winter and some might be a little overzealous on the throttle.

My wife and I were headed to home Depot yesterday. On two different occasions we seen motorcyclist doing stupid stuff.  Two riders were taking off from a stop light and we're drag racing.

Little while later spotted a guy doing wheelies.

Not saying the accident mentioned was do to the rider doing something stupid, but there's a good chance it might be.

I stopped riding because of the cagers on there phone. Had more than one close call because some young twit was in my lane while looking at their cell phone.

Stay safe everyone.

I agree that there are alot of crazy riders out there with a need for speed that are not nearly cautious enough.

I agree about bikers riding carelessly ,bombing in and out of lanes and cutting people off . People in cars also need to be more aware of whats passing them.

This time of year I always tell my daughters to be alert for motorcycles.

I put on over 100k on my two bikes  in about 20 years.

My opinion  is loud pipes annoy drivers , and you don’t hear them coming as much as when they pass, or the guy next to,you at the light feels the need to whack the throttle for no reason. Oh and living next to a four way stop and those guys taking off , and waking your napping kids turns folks off as well, or my neighbor at 5 AM who feels the need to whack that throttle for five minute s, Christ get a tune up.

My Dad on Lake rd couldn’t watch a Mets  on a week end due to all the loud pipes guys flying past his house , he lived on the first S curve .

ive scraped a number of bikers off bumpers , trees , guard rails  and such and picked up,their body parts and boots ,it’s interesting how they fly out of their boots when hitting an object ...

I loved to ride , but frankly I prefer my vehicle to be around me not the other way around ,and I have ZERO sympathy for the The riders who, think 490 is their race track and eat it .

for the record I’ve been hit by a car and had many close calls  out ran the cops a few times and was caught once .....,most of the close calls were me riding like a nut .
