Ocdeerhunter
Had a swing and a miss this morning. Do you go back the next day to the same spot you missed or change up your spot to somewhere close by?

And then slowly look around to see if anyone is watching. 4

mowin
I've killed a bird the next day in the same spot. I've also not seen or heard a bird in said area for a few days. Unless I roost him there that evening, I'm probably going somewhere else. If he is there, I'll set up in a different location and change up what call I use and how I call. Tree now sucking 2 ounces of 5’s?

Move on and find a new bird, come back to this one in a week. If you see buzzards, church is out.

I'll open the bidding for it at $2.50.
The_Real_TCIII
I weave a web of profanity that stretches all the way across the galaxy. He will be back to roost in the same spot. Hopefully a clean miss and he doesn’t have pellets in him, that might change thingsSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
G-Man
I'd move 100 to 150 yards the direction it flew and set up.again and start calling after 30 min or so. Killed. Lot of missed birds over the years. Or you can go back the next day with different calls and set up in a bit different area. Did quite a few double with the man that taught me to hunt turkey by simple moving the direction rest of birds went even after taking 1 bird . 30 min and boom 2nd bird done

ATbuckhunter
After I try a second and maybe third shot, Ill immediately look for an excuse to take the blame for my dumb mistake haha. Turkeys are dumb, go for him as soon as you can
Uncle Nicky
Need more info., but if you are thinking of hunting the same bird, there is a good chance he has now been educated (or dead if you pepperd him). You probably will be OK if he came in alone and no other toms make the connection that the loud boom and a human being in their woods. Haven't missed in a while, but I generally would go take a shot at a paper target. Every time it turned out to be the Indian, not the arrow. Water Rat
I just sit there and cry......but seriously I just try to learn from it. I would go back the next day in the same vicinity.
