Sitting the morning out with my older guy as we were fortunate enough to connect on bucks. Youngest home from college in stand I shot buck on Wednesday. One deer running solo through a field, believes it was a buck. As well as a yote 50 yards standing briefly in an opening, has xbow but wasn’t confident. Hope it comes by later he said he heard them close by in the dark as he walked to his stand. To those that scored congrats, to those that didn’t seems perfect conditions. Good luck.

Saw a dozen or more deer but nothing mature only 1 doe was.. Had a spike come right into my antler ice.

My stand setup is pretty open behind some houses pretty much where the doe browse and bed mid day.. Bucks are across the street in a swamp. Gonna have to get back into the timber tonight.

Had a doe with two fawns come through a little bit ago. Two far out at 70 yards.

Where in 9h?

Had to skip hunting this morning to get our shack back up an operational for the gun opener in 9h

She took a huge dump in those high winds on 11/1.

Been there ! Then I drove two pipes into the ground , screwed two eye bolts into hut , and ran two ratchet straps .

Late start for me..just settled in climber at legal light. 2 doe kicked in the walk in but they are close to car so I expect to beat them to where they want to go and do but never come in . 25 min later a decent 8 a fawn and a spike come in - only spike gives me a shot - pass... I need a doe for this property- couldn’t pull the trigger on the “chef special” even though I had the shot.

2 doe come in next and bed down 60 yards away - still there as I type- won’t budge for any calls.

Noise below here come two charging up hill...different spike hounding a doe righ last me- wouldn’t stop,

 

Did i mention does are still sleeping

Had a decent buck go by too far out. He did not react positive to grunt lol musta been ass kicked lately
Then one ? Go by quick way down the other side and then a red fox pop out in field. At least my first time hunter is seeing some deer.

Right now I'm thinking how much warmer I'd be if I had popped one of those does I passed earlier. No action since then. Squirrels sound like dinosaurs with these leaves. Heading in for a quick warmup at 11.

Dear are definitely on the move today I saw two fawns feeding in Yorktown off route 202 and then a buck behind them chasing a doe and then I drove to Orange County and saw a deer everywhere between 8 and 9 AM

No deer seen in 2 days so far. All my pics are still showing night time movement.

Doe and yearling came by me at about 35yds at about 8:40, walked around slowly eating, and then layed down about 75yds in front of me at about 9:00...so far both still laying there. That's it for activity this sit so far.

Didn't see a thing until 9:30-9:45. Had a buck chasing 2 doe about 100 yards out one doe broke off and walked up to about 40 yards. She walked a half circle around me then bleated and walk back towards where she came.

I'll be back out this afternoon

Lone Doe passed through checking over her shoulder. Hoping something is trailing her. So much for a midday refill of the thermos.

Two year old cubs all alone probably  120-150.lbs watched what I thought was mom run them off 2 times just snarling and snapping ... she was over 350 lbs .
