Another Bear...

Had a night pic of a bear and shared it earlier in a different thread..had this picture on same camera a few weeks ago. The more i look at the two pictures the more i wonder if same bear?!?! Ive never taken a bear but this one seems to be on the LARGE side!

Bears can be tough to judge sometimes, but that fat neck and head makes me think he is more than a couple years old. Any bear though, is a trophy, especially considering the limited opportunities NY offers for them.

measure from that tree and should be able to tell just how big. but looks like a big one.  Jealous of you guys and your bear pics!  I want one just one !!!

I measured the height after pulling the card and its almost 8' high where he was scratching his back...its in Livingston county

There are definitely some very big bears out there.  That one for sure looks to be a huge bear.

I took a big one in Livingston County in 2010 had to quarter it out. The taxidermist estimated it at a little over 500 lb.

Big bear. I would shoot it . Hunting southern  tier  I have had opportunity but I figure I will shoot and have one mounted in my life so I'm holding out for a big bear. We have a sow  that regularly  raises  triplets  and last year she had quads.   I had the opportunity  2 years ago to shoot her  as she was alone and had kicked of her cubs. I gave her a pass. Some day a monster will show up... or not .

I know, but that one is very large and inverted from any I've seen.

And Usually a sign of a big bear from what I recall from my Maine Bear hunt.
