BuckTracker
Hey Ya- I got two photos of this Onondaga Co. State land buck two years ago meow.. Hunted like hell for him and as the story goes-never every saw him. Anyways I heard from a fellow hunter that a big one was shot out of that area with a bow that scored in the 145s or so. Couple weeks later I come across a photo at the local Gander that very much so resembles MY BUCK. What's everyone think and can anyone provide me with some closure.. ie a name or number of the guy that lucked out

sampotter
I vote not the same deer. Similar. I could be wrong. That buck in 09 was plenty mature too. His left antler that year had a bit of character to it with the long G2, funny g4, and main beam tip that curves up sharply. The dead buck has none of that and is very symetrical. MuzzyLoader
YOUR BUCK (I love this phrase... NOBODY 'owns' a deer on the hoof - unless it is in a private pen or was purchased) is still walkin' by the looks of things. Those are two different deer. steve863
Even if it is, why would you call him? or even attempt to located the hunter ??? +1 That's just the way it goes many times. Deer will get shot by someone else and not us. We don't own the deer, nor can we tell them where they should or shouldn't go.
SteveNY
nor can we tell them where they should or shouldn't go. Well we CAN... I just don't think they will listen.

The buck that you have on your cam is still waiting for you, now go out and get him soon before the season is over. Good Luck!!

BuckTracker
I appreciate the responses.. I guess 20:1 wins, and the more and more I look at the subtle details I have to agree also. If the third picture is not the same gonna have to leave the location as a mystery for now.. Thanks, Buck Tracker
