Things I've Come to Believe !

First that the country will be more divided in the next four years, than the last four years, both sides have deep seeded beliefs and motivations. Some of these motivation are very self serving in many ways. That "career politicians" are like crap filled diapers and should be changed; I believe strict term limits against life long careers for political self to end corruption. If, by then, you and your family hasn't landed some foreign job or speaking engagements for thousands to one's "foundation"

That Trump will be blamed by the new administration for every "ill of the country"; with but a few days left the left attempt to oust him, yet again. I believe the swamp is deeper than any great lake; any possible corrective action would need to be swift and unilateral.

That the news is simply no longer the news; every story has a motivation for political reasons in some fashion. It has come to the point that any person looking for factual information could simply not use any news source as factual. New worthy events are not up to the public to decide; the media either doesn't cover the events or cover them with clear bias.

I sadly, believe were all in for a rough four years, it was just a short four years ago that Trump was going to ignite WW3; crash the economy and Hollywood types were outspoken and moving to Canada. Guess, none of those happened. 

The political world is sad and sickening and our founding fathers would be sickened by it all...

Let's not forget that one side believed that Hilary Clinton was running a child prostitution ring from the basement of a pizza shop. That same belief structure,  allergic to evidence and logic, is fueling QAnon and Trumpism. The post Romney party post-mortem didn't compel the Republican Party to denounce the nuts on the far right. Hopefully the end of Trump will.

Sadly, your denunciation here is as irrelevant as everything else you've done in your life. What we actually do need is for the more sensible Republican members of Congress to grow a spine and categorically (and publicly... the cowards do it in private all the time) reject Trumpism and fringe conspiracy theories. Until that happens, the OP is likely right in fearing things will get darker.

For the sake of this country, let's acknowledge both sides have done wrong in the past and put this behind us.  It serves no purpose to keep bringing it up.  We need to work toward a better future.  Let's stop the future BS, like calls for McCarthyism blacklisting of Trump administration personnel and impeaching him after he leaves office.  Vindictiveness and revenge is wrong.

I have never claimed that the Democrats are infallible or beyond reproach. But we have to be clear that what we're seeing with the current president and with Trumpism doesn't have a contemporary counterpart. Republican support of QAnon and of election fraud rhetoric, knowing both are lies, must be condemned. Folks on this board, especially the true Republicans, would do well to acknowledge that pizza-gate, QAnon, and Trumpism have cast an embarrassing and dangerous shadow on the Party. 
Some of the strongest calls for impeachment aren't coming from vindictive Democrats. It's the Republicans who have finally awakened to Trump's poisonous presence who want him out and forbidden from holding future office. We're finally seeing both parties unite. I hope it continues post inauguration.

I disagree with most everything @BowmanMike says in the political section. But he does shoot some nice ones with some nice story’s behind them I do enjoy.

thanks,this is the political section after all. we can agree on all of us enjoying hunting. I have a buddy here that actually helped me getting started in hunting and we can not talk politics at all.

If the left has the balls to censor  the president of the USA for easily debunked allegations   . What do you think they will do to all of us and you if you don't go along with there bs ?

If trump gets impeached he won't be able to run for office again and loose his presidential benefits. So you think he should just get a pass for almost overthrowing a government? In the name of unity?

I am not a biden guy cant stand him as a career politician, and really not a fan of the right or the left, but mostly go with right base - Love Mike Lee!  that being said I think Trump should be impeached regardless if there is 10 days left.  And yes it does several things - Day one or the last day, an impeachable offense is still just that and has to be addressed.And unless your wearing the orange glasses you cant defend his actions/inactions on that day.  You dont get to burn the building down on your way out the door without consequence Dem or Rep. Also he should not be in office again or able to run and hopefully this will get him the hell out of the way for candidates in 2024 such as Nikki Haley, Mike Lee, (my guy Mike Rowe! lol) etc. Also he did nothing to protect the members of the house and senate as this was occuring, in fact he had to be convinced.  The president needs to protect them regardless of being Dem or Rep and it was disgusting to see him not act in their behalf and Mike Pence has to make the statement that Trump should have, but it should have come from him.  Will be glad to see him go, yet not happy to see Biden in.  Kudos to Katko and others for being a republican and having the backbone to say a member of your own party shoudl be impeached and doing whats right and not to walk along party lines.  I get that many or most of the Dems are impeaching for reasons cause they hate trump but the truth is all the legislators shoudl be standing up and saying the same. Even though I dont like Trump i always believed that Trump loved America but the issue is that Trump loves Trump more and he was willing to burn the house down rather than leave it.  And for this he needs to face the music.
