Second was a box turtle shell. Third was a dead seven pointer with a well placed arrow hole in it. Fourth was a little two point. Does anyone know what made these?there where hundreds of them on oak trees. There outside is made from oak leaves the inside had a spongy thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Just saw this and didn’t see any reply to it so I thought I’d add my two cents. This is an oak gall. A type of wasp lays an egg and a chemical secreted causes the tree to form this. The larva will chew its way out next year and turn into an adult.

Nomad
Wow, hit a different part of the farm, thicket just covered in trails, tracks never seen so many trails . The spot is surrounded by green fields, with trails to/from the fields every 40-50 yards , then it transitions to woods, then another field . Farmer said deer are in those fields daily . Zippo !!! I couldn’t believe it, walked the trails glassed the fields . I did find another old dump, grabbed the Mrs a new set of salt/ pepper shakers ,some bottles and a 1926 lic. Plate , she wants me to go back for an old milk can that I didn’t feel like carrying out .

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Well you tell , Bobby that’s private property and to stay off it .... Lots more bottles , I’m going back with a shovel , there’s also a half buried milk can my wife wants . We already have a few that her Dad actually used on their dairy farm , but for some reason she wants this one too . There’s a few more dumps ,I need to dig out as well . Where you really find old bottles is digging down in old outhouses ..... Mrs Nomad says there’s one somewhere in their old yard , not sure the new owners would want me digging it up though . One mans trash ,is Nomads trash !

They made all kind of jars/bottles as you can imagine how big the market used to be. Not necessarily rare just a peek into the past of what these old canal towns used to be like. bigpaul
Found my first ever shed yesterday. I was mowing along a newly established food plot and there it was. Pretty beat up, looks like I drug the disc over a couple of times.
