I think the reason there is a limit on attachments is so members will go in and get rid of a lot of the ancient ones . You probably have more than anyone .   Heck , your attachments might be what is slowing down the forum .

I think the reason there is a limit on attachments is so members will go in and get rid of a lot of the ancient ones . You probably have more than anyone .   Heck , your attachments might be what is slowing down the forum . 

Taking away Water Rats attachments is like asking Bob Ross to paint a landscape with only black and white paint.

I have had to go into the system and remove some of my own attachments that were a couple years old in order to do more .

99% of water rat's posts are jokes / cartoons . ATTACHMENTS

Attachments help to slow things down . If you read what burmjohn posted as a notice , you will see we are at 80GB of images . Click on your name and the "my attachments" . Delete the OLD ones .

Another thing that probably slows down the site is QUOTES . Someone makes a lengthy post with 4 , 5 , 10 paragraphs and then someone responds to that post by quoting adding more than is necessary .
