It's like a breath of fresh air!

Now THIS is the REAL HuntingNY!!!!

I'd like to formally endorse Robhuntandfish to become a mod here.

And Bionic as well.

All we need here, is just a mild dose of moderation to keep the train on track.

Lol Grampy.  We were thinking the same . It's like the humidity leaving.

I would do it if it would help, I'm also ok with any others that might be better.  I just hate to see this place like this. So many good folks around for this to keep happening.  John and Eddie I think both did/do a great job, it just seems they have moved on and not around as much as they used to.  It happens.

I'm sure there are a few here that would do a great job. Place just needs a little help from time to time keeping it civil and focused.

I totally agree.  It's getting to be that time of year!  I didn't have much to get excited about on my trail cams, but ANY DAY NOW.

You have a straight hunting forum all year ,this place will die quick .

Not sure anyone is asking for those topics to be silenced, but at least placed appropriately so those who wish to engage can and those that wish to avoid don’t need to be slammed with it all day.

I feel like this site could use some fresh eyes.

Call me crazy but Glorya may add the just right amount of sugar and spice.

Hey...!!   For a schoolteacher, you make pretty good sense  !!  Spoken by one who was married to one ( and exposed to her peers)  for 35 years....

And some of you guys whine about topics that you don’t like ,don’t open the thread if that’s the case .

There’s a place in this forum for all of the political stuff. It’s easy to find, and also easy to avoid. When the “New Posts” column is taken up by grown men taking turns calling each other idiots, it’s not too enjoyable. There’s no reason that one should have to dig through dozens of posts on a hunting forum to find hunting related content.

This forum has been going for many years on it's premise of hunting and some great folks.  There are lots of political outlets and even a spot here for it.  The issue has been the political posts dominating the place for a very few to argue about.  Just needs a little housekeeping just like WNY did today.  A hunting site doesn't need to be dominated by political topics that always always turn ugly.  Look at any of them for an example.  They are a mess.

I also at times like to talk politics but it shouldn't be the main topic here and have to search for hunting and outdoor ones on a site designed for it. And this is the way this site has always been. Politics on the side please. It's been going strong for al ong time only recently has it become so bad.

Those of us that prefer to actually talk about hunting on a hunting site can easily talk about hunting and all it brings us, without calling out each other and making it ugly.  It's been working for years.

I was under the impression that any new post ,within a thread ,gets shot to the top when I open the forum up .Like I said ,this forum will die out with just hunting related content for 365 days .as much as I love Hunting ,Fishing and Trapping ,that would get boring .But to each their own.Like you said ,you don’t have to open the thread .
For actual info on useful hunting techniques or other important info ,there should be a archives section if there isn’t one already .

Over zealous moderators can kill a good forum quick .I’d leave it the way it is .

Agreed to a point .Believe it or not ,it has not been that bad compared to other sites I’ve seen .Some name calling but over all ,not bad .

I believe politics in this State ,and what he love to do (hunt ,ect)go hand in hand .We can all ignore that and go about our lives and act like everything is perfect ,but it won’t help us in the long run to ignore it all .

Maybe I’m not seeing what you are on your end ,I open this site up and see multiple threads ,I can choose anyone to open freely .At no time do I feel like I have any thread shoved down my throat .I say this with respect ,I know sometimes typed messages can come off differently,or maybe just my wording lol .
