Actually, I didn't notice anything .... lol. It really doesn't excite me to see two guys playing word games, and I have stopped paying a lot of attention to either side. I could care less who thinks a crossbow is a bow or not or who can prove that their source is better than the other guy's. Who really cares? It's absolutely irrelevant. It's definitely not worth trying to make enemies over.

Found a ton of ammo at a local shop yesterday; stocked up. Pulled into a gas station on the way home, where a super-hot blonde at the next pump noticed my ammo. "Ammo is really getting hard to find. Would you be interested in a sex-for-ammo trade?" she asked. "I don't know," I replied. "What kind of ammo do you have for trade?"

So you can't understand why anyone would want to donate food to homeless shelters and nutrition assisstance programs? Have you ever made any kind of donation in your life. If not, then maybe you cannot understand why someone would not want to do this. I love to hunt but really only use one deer per year. I fill my dmps that I would otherwise not use because I can donate the meat. It is a win win where I get to continue hunting and folks that can use the food can get a free meal.

Compounds are shot with triggers, can have a scope and with 80 to 99% let off legal and available, can be held at full draw several minutes before making a shot. Sit in a ground blind or 20+ feet in the air and the chance are your draw will never be seen.

i live in a tight group neighbor hood and there is alot of elderly and young families that look forward to me giving them what i can . this year i only got one but i shared it with 8 families . didnt leave me with what i would of like to have in my freezer but hey maybe next year i will fill everyones freezer ( one can only hope)

What ever you think of Hannity I don't see how anyone could see this congressman as anything but a defensive little punk. The very first thing he did was to start calling Hannity names and then never stopped. He looked like a little 12 year old punk on the play ground. " No you are".... "too bad" ... "I'll say what I want to say" Nothing but a little punk in a nice suit.

It's that old story of voters simply following whatever their family traditionally voted. Record and idealogy be damned. It's a whole lot easier to just walk into the voting booth and vote for the same party year after year. Why confuse yourself with actual issues and voting records and all that other painful stuff. There can be no other way of explaining it.

It's amazing how far Liberals will go to defend their amazing blunder of voting for this guy. I suppose they are also supporting Cuomo and his midnight raid on the Constitution also.

Last i knew western NY had close to 20 buses total from all the different clubs and organizations going tomorrow , i couldn't get off work so i gave my buddy some money for snacks and bottle water for those that could go.

Thing is todays modern compounds and crossbows are nearly identical, one is vertical one horizontal. Both shot with triggers (fingers are hardly used anymore except by die hard recurve and long bow hunters who need their own week in my opinion.) On held mechanically but very loud and energy drops off fast, the other held by hand(albit with90 % or more of weight held mechanically) and retains energy better at longer ranges. Sights are same on both scope or fixed adjustable pins. Let crossbows and compounds in same season, give recurves and longbows their own during prime rut... after all they are the only true archers out there!

Just like the nuisance bears, stop feeding them and eventually they'll go away. I know this isn't true, but it's the only train of thought I can imagine a community would support this measure to decrease it's negative perception by outsiders. Homelessness isn't something to be proud of no matter which side of the tracks you're on, and honestly, sometimes those same tracks are the only thing that seperate this sad reality from the rest of society. Pretending it doesn't exist, doesn't make it go away, or do anything to address a growing problem that isn't getting any better any time soon.

The guy is just a typical punk who , for some reason, was given a position of power but who is at the same time a moron. All he can do is yell and talk over people. If Hannity gave him a little more time he would have dropped the race card, because he can not debate. I person who thinks he is way smarter than he is can be very Dangerous.

A lot of people look at it as making a donation to people in need. If you have a tag left over or don't want the meat, why not donate it to people who realy need it. I donated a deer this year and the people I gave it to were so happy to get it that I thought the wife was going to cry.

Are you just naturally a troll? There are people out there that actually like to HELP others. What better way to help others, and enjoy doing what we hunters like, to hunt.

If you notice, all these antis ever talk about is the gun. Never mental illness, never drug use, never career criminals...only the guns...

as much of a shame as it is, I never quite understood guys who kill way more deer than they or their family can use and dump them off at these places.......

yes correct, however i was referring to people i have spoken with who have 10 round clips and 10 rounds in them...

it will eventually get to the point where i think people will simply NOT comply. I have spoke to quite a few people who still have 10 rounds in their guns along with fore grips on their high points and so on. some know the rules some do not.

The "hunting" is as hard . the shooting part of the 'hunt" isn't. If you consider the hunt to be the shot I will give you that the crossbow is easier. Up to and after that part the hunt is the same. I don't remember anyone saying a crossbow was NOT easier to actually shoot. I have seen several comments about them not having the vast "advantages" that are often claimed that they have.

Storing a loaded magazine in the oven????? Even if it didn't constitute a safety hazard, what would ever possess someone to put such a thing in an oven? Why didn't he put it in the refrigerator where it belongs?

Glad it went ok for you. I just had to make a trip down to Florida the week before last due to my mom going into the hospital. The weather was great, 70s and 80s. Was the only good part about the trip.

Actually I do most of my hunting out in the middle of the Adirondack Park. I am just willing to go far enough out that I rarely encounter another person. When I do hunt around home I really don't care what anyone on the other side of the fence is hunting with as long as they're playing by the rules. It's not "screw everyone else" so much as "live and let live". I personally have no interest in lugging a crossbow around the woods as my '86 compound is heavy enough, but if someone else wants to, more power to them.
