Found 3 yesterday so here's my season total. Based on past years and this one I'm beginning to think my eyes just don't pick up the right side for some reason.6 points

I saw this and thought it sums up the SCOTUS judicial appointment perfectly. I couldn't agree more. Jonah Goldberg: "All the Constitution says is that there has to be a Supreme Court. (Even the existence of lower federal courts is entirely optional). There's nothing holy, never mind constitutionally sacrosanct about the number nine. Congress could decide tomorrow to make the Supreme Court a body of 72 people picked randomly from the phonebook (so long as the president was the one doing the random picking and the Congress approved them). When the president, a former teacher of constitutional law, says, 'the Constitution is pretty clear' about the need for hearings on his pick, he's not telling the truth. He's playing politics. The same goes for all the Republican senators who say the Constitution is clear that they don't have to hold hearings if they don't want to. The issue isn't whether the Constitution is clear. The simple fact is that the Constitution is silent. And where the Constitution is silent, politics is supreme. ... We've invested in the Supreme Court powers never imagined by the framers. And when I say 'we' I mostly mean progressives. The growth of the administrative state and the encroachment of federal law into every nook and cranny of local life has been a century-long project of the left. It should be no surprise that when we bequeath monarchical powers to nine — or eight — lawyers, the battle for succession to one of the nine thrones will be ugly. Indeed, it's surprising it's not uglier."3 points

A US citizen? No. (Although requirements for US citizenship have been extremely lax of late.) Someone entering this country from an other country that is known to have views hostile to the US? Yes, absolutely. If an immigrant's 'religion' is fundamentally based on destroying the very concept of this country, that's something we need to keep in mind as they work to gain citizenship. Anyone unwilling to renounce that particular view has no place in our country. We're the greatest nation on this planet, and we need to stay that way.3 points

Attempts to control crime do not control crime. When you ask responsible citizens to surrender rights, especially the right of self defense, without proposing any actual crime prevention, you should expect well deserved push back. And that push back comes from any logical thinking people who do not see it as a good bargain. This is the real reason we keep seeing more and more idiotic demands placed on responsible gun owners.3 points

People are posting less because because most threads end up just like this one did. In an full on font war. Most people in here are guilty of being opinionated at times, almost all of us are sarcastic smart-asses, and loud ( myself included ( we are New Yorkers ) ). That and most of the threads about hunting are flooded out to the bottom so those that just read the top 5 or what's new threads don't see the hunting threads. I do give you an 'A' for effort on that one though. I am not opposed to dove hunting. I signed a couple petitions for it. At the same time, I really wasn't on a side. I just felt as long as it's not endangered who am I to tell someone they can't hunt doves for food? I guess I was always 'neutral' but, was able to 'see both sides'. As for more surveys or debates about lead VS non-lead, they will end up just like this thread. Most people won't bother as they just want to be left alone to hunt with w/e they want to hunt with, so you end up with the same people spewing the same statements over, and over, and over..........and over......... The one thing you get from threads like this, you really see the people who care about hunting as a whole, and the people who only care about certain areas within the sport. That is the sad part.2 points

I'm not hateful, racist, or bigoted (in the way you're using the term). I'm also not misogynistic, xenophobic, homophobic, or paranoid. I'm not religious either, but I do absolutely follow the Golden Rule in the course of day-to-day life. I'm an American and a patriot. I absolutely believe in my country and I believe that we are, in many/most ways, exceptional. My anger stems from the fact that I'm often labeled as all of the above simply because of my patriotism, and the fact that the term "American Patriot" has somehow managed to become a slur and an epithet. My tolerance reached its end when my President started traveling the world to apologize for my country's very existence. I could expand on this if necessary.2 points

Today I decided to finally admit I wont be doing any more yote hunting this year. Time to polish up the ol' smokepole, and get it stuffed away for another off-season. So, I cracked it open and pulled the breech plug instead of firing off the last round loaded back in January. (I know it's still on) I waited for my pellets to drop out, but they didn't... I gave the end of the barrel a thump, but still nothing... I rapped the holy hell out of the business end of the barrel and STILL nothing...!!! I assembled my 3 cleaning rods and attached a jag and decided to push the load through. I hit a wall... oh shaieeet!!!! Popped the end of the rod with the palm of my hand a few times before it finally gave. 100 gr. of Pyrodex pellets came ooooooozing out like the melting end of an upside down burning candle! I panicked and completely forgot to grab the camera before I started dumping everything but the kitchen sink down the barrel. I couldn't get it out fast enough even though I was so content to leave it in there so long since this has NEVER happened to me before. .....my mistake. I have an old Hawken 50cal. standing in the corner that 2 - 14" Ridged pipe wrenches wont crack the breech plug loose from.... to this day, it's still loaded for probably 10 years now at least. One of these days I'll turn it into a lamp, lol Besides that, I never thought this could happen to me. All you guys that don't shoot ML's are missing out on all the fun and uncertainty that comes with loading your gun from the wrong end year after year.. week after week..., hunt after hunt.....! That was a damn close call, but I think I caught it just in time.1 point

To all you OTHER lug nuts, any changes for this coming Opening Day? TIA...........1 point

We didn't ask them to come here they asked to....if you want to live here at least try and adapt....no I've never been to these places you speak of and for good reason...nothing worse than walking thru a store and hearing some gibberish not knowing what is going on...robes and burkas really I highly doubt the women like to wear them...and as I said if you want to come here do it legally and we are good....but IMO the first thing you should learn is to speak English and our laws and justice system. They want to come here and have their laws their traditions....so why did they leave? Go home don't like it tough. Really trying to take IN GOD WE TRUST off and out of everything they can is bull and we shouldn't stand for it...our borders need protected our schools need protected...if you want to be part of the best country in the world....EARN itSent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk Edit....TRUMP POTUS 20161 point

Im not hateful.. Thats just a B.S. label you put on anyone who disagrees with you. Rather then skip over the political section, like an adult, You have decided to have a little hissy fit and launch your own protest of the political section. Your sad little, hold your breath till you turn blue, protest includes falsely labeling people, because thats all you have. Pathetic1 point

Section 1 of Article 3 of the Constitution says: The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behavior, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services a Compensation which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office. Justices can be impeached, and if they have been impeached they can be forced out. It's not an easy process (it wasn't meant to be), but it is possible. Actually getting it going is something you need to speak with your representatives about. In the past, one justice has been impeached but not forced out, and one has stepped down due to impending impeachment, so it is possible.1 point

It's a tough business. The stars want your stuff for free, and the up-and-comers want your stuff for free. The guitars, basses, and drums I built are still out there being played around the world. As a business it didn't work out, but it's pretty cool to get a CD in the mail, or a backstage pass now and then.1 point
