Good flashlight.

Such a shame! I use to trust my fellow man but have learned to be apprehensive. I blame drugs for many of the issues society faces today along with a growing wealth gap, internet and TV. Many of these things distort reality hence the reason I love the woods so much!

Welcome aboard, great site. Not sure where you can shoot the crossbow. Check this post and look at page 2. http://huntingny.com/forums/topic/8680-crossbow-target-range-practice/page-2

Welcome aboard, great site! Enjoy and good luck this year!

Nice camp, love the mounts!

Fatal shot determines possession, but if I finished off a kids deer then he would get it with the sportsmanship explanation. I can't say I have many trophies on the wall but helping a young hunter enjoy the sport would be enough reward for me. Meet a kid today who is in his second year of hunting and he shot a really nice 9 pt from the ground with his bow. That really gets me pumped! Love seeing the enthusiasm and joy!

Don't be afraid to track them, I have found a wealth of information by doing this and if you keep at it you can catch up to them. Check the choke points, ridges and swamps. Find the largest track even if it is only a doe and follow it as long as you can. This will help identify bedding area, food sources and hopefully you pick up a buck track while doing this. Good luck, keep us posted on your progress and like OMG stated, never give up.

LOL Turkeyfeathers. Hard to tell without something to judge the size by. I will guess 32.4 lbs.

Only thing I need tomorrow is a new arrow rest and some practice tips. Having some issues, great timing! Arg, this is not my year!

Glade you spoke your mind. I have big issues with people against hunting and can not simply sit by and say nothing. The 1,000 or so people I work with must understand this because even though I wear my camo hat every day NO ONE confronts me. The few who are will to discuss hunting never debate the facts with me about the reality and sustainability of hunting. Good for you!!!

Truly epic! Congrats and way to be persistent! Very nice! Love to see the jaw bone and estimated age after we all try to guess what it is!

If work lets us go early I will try tomorrow then I think an early morning hunt is in store for Thursday. Hope I get lucky and finally harvest something this year! It's been a bad year for me so far, hope things change. I give thanks for my health and the ability to hunt! Have a happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

The reason it is so unbelievable is the fact that it was not officially weighed and it simply looks like a coyote. And the picture makes the story even more unbelievable. I don't claim to be any expert on the subject but even as a layman it simply looks like a big coyote unless that guy is 7ft tall and about 350lbs, no way the coyote is over 70lbs. This post reminds me of all the Monster deer shot on LI that turn out to be from Ohio. Still have the bridge for sale, great deal!

Wow very nice!

LOL funny post but now I am HUNGRY!!! Hope the harvest Gods give me a brake, I want VENISION!!!

40lb coyote but I have a bridge for sale in Brooklyn to anyone interested who thinks it is a wolf. PM me and I will send info about the tolls you can collect from it, its a steal! Hurry it wont last long!

Many of the guys at Suffolk Archers use one pin sights and love them. I still outshoot most of them with my 5 pin sight, except a few guys. One of the advantages is a consistently clear sight picture. NFAA does not allow one sight pins in my division but I debate switching to one anyway. They work well and many shooters love the accuracy. If you have issues shooting between pins these sights are pretty awesome.
