  1. Congrats on your project!!!! Bet it feels great seeing it come to life!!!
  2. That must of been an awesome site to see!! Thanks for sharing
  3. My guess, I don't think a doe would make any sounds at all giving birth due to predators always being present. That would be like ringing a dinner bell, not only for her fawn but her as well.
  4. Well, went out again this morning and not a peep!!! Stuck it out till 10:15am, then called it quits!!! Won't be back out there until next week.
  5. Congrats on a fine bird. Seems like a lot of others are into birds that want to play. Not having any birds that respond or are vocal sure can make for a long morning!!
  6. One thing I did read about the Whisker biscuit rests, is that you can't use "Quick Spin" vanes through this rest. These type of vanes WILL cause damage to the bristles, stick with Blazer vanes and you shouldn't have any issues.
  7. I have a drop away rest on my current bow, but thinking of switching to a Whisker Biscuit rest for my next bow. Main reason is the one I have now make s a metallic clinking noise after each shot. Also, that string that is tied to the cable leaves me to think of possible failures down the road? Like the simplicity of the whisker biscuit, and the captive ability of your arrow. Out to a distance of 35-40 yards, there is no huge accuracy related issues. Like the simple approach and idea behind this rest. What say you?
  8. Took today off to catch up on some sleep. The birds haven't been wanting to play at all at every spot I had hit so far. Giving them a couple more days before venturing out again. Have a lot of work to do around the house to keep me busy.
  9. Your persistence paid off!!! Congrats!!!
  10. This morning was the 4th time out for me this season. Haven't seen a gobbler yet!!! Only heard 2 one morning early, and then complete silence. Appears that they are henned up and don't want to play!!! Going to try another spot in the morning, if nothing but silence again, will wait an entire week before heading back out. Tuff sledding so far
  11. Congrats on a real dandy!!
  12. I use to own/shoot a Ruger Super-Blackhawk with the 7 1/2" barrel in Blue years ago. REALLY got very accurate with that gun!!! Love that .44 caliber....still do and may end up getting another one some day soon.
  13. Seen that on TV last night. That sure makes you want to go to the hospital now doesn't it!!!

    Soggy

Got a couple of nice days here now, but the rain is in the forecast from this Tuesday through the weekend!!! Time to catch up on some inside projects!!
  15. Well, nadda again today. Heard 2 sound off at 5:50am, and that was it right until 11am. Think they are henned up pretty good. Going to wait a week before hitting this area again.
  16. Will be out this morning in same area, but across the road this time. Hopefully I can get a Tom to play!!!
  17. Yep, way long time ago, one for me as well. That was before I scoped my gun. Kentucky windage doesn't always work!!!

    Spot Hogg

For my next bow I have been leaning with the new IQ Ultra Lite with Retina lock. The three pin model for $90.00 in Cabela's.
  19. Another good choice is the Mossberg 930. New for this year is this one in Mossy Oak Obsession camo.
  20. Slick visual display!!! Likey a lot!!!
  21. Got an e-mail from Dick's, it's a buy one, second box half price. http://img.ed4.net/dcsg/images/2016/05_04_Hunt_Deals_Turkey/img/05_04_Hunt_Deals_Turkey_04.jpg
  22. Glad to see someone having success. Only been out 2 mornings so far, and no mature Tom sightings or gobbles?
