  1. Beautiful gun at a great price! In my travels, I've seen some really nice bucks between Berne and Greenville, over the years.
  2. I've done this when I lived in South Carolina, and loved it! Very happy I got to experience it a number of times. Actually, I'm considering an invitation from friends and family to go back down, for a hunt this year. Perhaps for a velvet buck.
  3. I admit to hunting over food plots. And I suppose looking at the BIG picture it could be considered baiting. But is it really? With a food plot we try to keep deer in "the area". With baiting it seems as if you try to bring them to "a spot". I've given this some thought many times. And I guess it all boils down to plots being legal. Could using fertilizer spikes on up and coming oak and apple trees be considered baiting? Cause I do that too.
  4. It would be interesting to see, what critters would show up on my cams, if I could have a big pile of corn, in front of them! And I do agree with you. If it were legal, many would have no problem with baiting. And I would have no problem with it, "if" it were legal. But it's been ingrained in me for so long that it's "wrong" or "unethical", that I'm not sure I could actually do it myself. I'm being completely honest here.
  5. It's been legal to bait in some places, for a long time. They, most likely wonder why we "don't" bait. It's the way they have always done it. Same as us not baiting. But given the choice, I'd choose not to.
  6. Thanks! I signed up for some free seeds. I'll put them between the back yard, and pasture fence!
  7. Very, very nice, looks great! And congratulations on an awesome, successful season! Looks like the beetles did a nice clean job, on your euro. The arrow and shell casing are a nice touch too! Along with the barn board. I did my 2015 buck as a euro mount. And used a weathered board from the old farm property homestead. It's posted on here somewhere. Am doing the 2016 buck as a euro too. Just haven't finish it yet.
  8. Didn't know you were a lawyer. Pretty cool! By the way, I got this speeding ticket.....................lol
  9. Larry, I could not have written that any better! That sums up my feelings on this subject, exactly!! Nice job!
  10. One of the prettiest songs from the backyard!
  11. Stunning pictures! Thanks for sharing!
  12. 30+ inches here. Drifts, 6+ feet. Wind still gusting over 40mph. Looks like a couple more snow bands, moving in from the west. After work, back to snowblowing, because of the drifts. Snowblower is getting a little wonky. Will have to see what's up with that before the next storm. Overall, everything worked out well. No major issues here. And only 5 days till spring!!! Another thought, When you would like to see a thread "disappear", they go on for page after page. The same points made over, and over. Now the "snow thread" was cool! Seeing how different areas were affected by the storm and how members were dealing with it. No bashing or disagreements. And just like that,....."poof".......gone! Perhaps in the future, when threads have run their course, and become redundant. Could someone use the "poof" button again?
  13. School closed again today. I'm in though, as I'm in the middle of an admin. project. The main roads are passable. but due to drifting, the secondary roads are still very bad. We have a lot of those secondary roads in the district. So good call to close again today. Safety of the students is, and should be the top priority, when deciding to close school. I don't believe the media had anything to do with the decision. As we used the last "snow day" yesterday. "Now when I was a boy, we would walk to school, uphill both ways, through the snow, barefoot, wearing only a flannel shirt.".............lol

    Cuomo

What a field day for Cuomo and Shumer! Lots of cameras on them today!
  15. No doubt the season will end, in the middle of, or the start of, the "epic battle". With no clue of the outcome, until the start of next season.
  16. Absolutely agree! This winter, so far has been easy on the critters, and my back! Expecting a good amount of snow for the next couple of days. But it will probably be all gone in a week to ten days. Just takes a couple days in the high 50s to low 60s to melt what we are going to get, this week. But it is kinda hard to 'think spring', with a blizzard in the forecast.......
  17. Well wishes and good vibes sent! Will check back here to confirm the good news!
  18. Good to hear from ya. Glad you're ok.
  19. The ugly looks deadly! I'll be happy to sling one of those on a 5 weight fly rod, from the deck of the bass boat!
  20. Just curious, if you do smallmouth bass jigs too? I'm always looking to try something different for the Mohawk smallies!
  21. I think we still have some tails in the barn. If they will help you, I can send you one.
  22. Absolutely gorgeous mount! More than just a little mass on that rack! What an awesome buck! The little things, like inside the ears, around the eyes, nose and mouth, really show your talent and skill. Great job!
