We really wanted to go to Maine again, but with so much going on in our lives, it's not to be. But come May, we're going!!! We both feel so at peace there.

I Remember....... No posted signs. Neighbors hunted our land, and us theirs. We wore overalls and flannel, no camo. And those thin rubber boots that your feet always froze in. When someone got a deer, it was story time! You told the story or listened to it over and over! It was also a get together, with a few hands to make that deer ready for the freezer. And everyone there, took a little venison home. Dividing up slugs, so we all had the same amount. Younger hunters ALWAYS dragged deer for the older hunters. Younger hunters were mostly given first choice on hunting spots. Older hunters still killed more deer. If you shot, and didn't have a deer to show for it, you had some explaining to do! And likely would lose your shirt tail! Deer drives on Thanksgiving morning. If someone shot "a buck" a few miles away, we all went to see it! Just a few memories here. I could go on and on. Good times.

I agree with this. 4-H is a hard one to get, and most years you'll need PP's. But I have gotten lucky early and late August. Will be going for my tags this weekend. Wish me luck!!!!

I have known bears to be in 4-J, and your area in particular, well into the fall. As long as they can find food, and no bigger bears are beating them up, they may stick around awhile.

It's obvious, who the better man is here. There are some things like integrity, that money can't buy. Good for you Larry. During the festivities, you can quietly reflect on what you did to make it happen. So can the future FIL.

That is because too many people these days are incapable of, or just don't want to think for themselves. So easy now to just be led by the nose. Hard to get an unbiased view from ANY media source anymore. They're all selling views, not truth's. The truth, and actual facts are still out there, for all to see! You just need to look harder to find it....... Believe what your own eye's and ears tell you. Make your own decisions, based on what YOU believe. Not what someone else tells you!!
