  1. Well done Grow. Glad you're back!
  2. I've had a couple of small ones forever on my peripheral vision, but developed a larger one in my direct vision about 2 years ago. Eye Doc in late 2014 said there wasn't much that could be done with them, and that they were barely noticeable to her. it has gotten worse so I'll bring it up at my checkup next month. At least it's in my left eye so it doesn't bug me looking thorough a scope. But it's annoying while driving on a sunny day with a blue sky background.
  3. I've broken that rule on several does in the past!
  4. I've also wondered about that. I see them from the stand during deer season. I've tried squirrel hunting from stands. That certainly works!
  5. This picture is from 3-4 years ago and is poor flip-phone quality. We had been seeing a Bear and her three cubs for about a year. Mommy kicked her cubs loose (I think it was mid-May) in the woods behind our house. They got pretty interested in our chicken coop until I yelled at them to go play somewhere else. There is a third cub behind the coop when the pic was taken. The two ran off quickly, but the third just scrambled about 150 yds back. We heard it crying and bawling in those woods for a day and a half. Poor thing missed it's Mommy. I felt sad for him or her. It did move off by late the next day. I'm glad I over-built the coop and pen!
  6. Have a blast, I'm a few hills SE of you.
  7. Good luck Pygmy - enjoy the hunting and equally enjoy the downtime!
  8. We've had Toyotas for years with no issues, my Tundra has over 150k miles, and I've only had the brakes serviced (besides routine scheduled maintenance). I've been trying not to notice the new Tacomas, because they seem to be trying to convince me to buy one! Definitely a sharp looking truck.
  9. Kind of thinking of using a crossbow for turkey this spring. I'm very new to crossbow (picked up a Parker for the last two weeks of bow last season), and relatively new to turkey hunting (have only shot 1 jake), so two questions for the bow or crossbow hunters for turkeys; Fixed blade or mechanical? Do you aim for center mass? Thanks in advance!

    Bowfishing

I used to do it years ago with a Bear Whitetail II and a Bear bowfishing setup (Hand over hand retrieval). We had a blast doing it as long as there were people around to take the carp after we shot them. I kind of drifted away from it, but still have the setup. Equipment has gotten a lot better over the years since the old hand over hand style. If I were to start up again, I'd go with this; http://www.eaglearchery.com/AMS-610-Retriever-Pro/?gclid=CKX4sJ7Li8wCFYpZhgodbG0NYA
  11. Welcome back to the forum!
  12. Awesome shots Wooly! Love the Chickadee pic!
  13. Our little Maltese Ruger (who likes to bark), and our cat Mini (who likes to make the dog bark). Both very affectionate!
  14. I enjoy seeing the high quality photos a few of you post (Wooly - certainly yours among them!). Great shots! If I may ask, approximately how much would that rig cost?
  15. I was getting an actress crush on Lagertha, but then I saw what she did to her new husband. Kind of soured me just a bit..
  16. I've been watching that since the beginning. And Rollo has been a back stabber ever since then. I didn't see last night's episode yet, but I waiting for him to get what's due to him. Maybe a "blood eagle" like Jarl Borg. That was the most gruesome thing I've ever seen on TV!
