SplitG2
Well I went up to the farm this weekend with my boys and pulled my cams. Got this guy trespassing. Anyone know him? Sending his picture to the DEC tomorrow and see if they can do some searching around my place. Was very lucky all my stands and cams were still there. Culvercreek hunt club
Looks like that leather strap across his chest is a do leash. I used to carry mine like that when we were afield. Looks like a rifle too. know anyone up there running coyotes?
covert
Was going to say that too. Looks like a patch of some sort on his left shoulder, can you zoom in and read it?
Lawdwaz
Certainly looks like a mean sumbitch. I wouldn't mess with 'em.............. I wouldn't think that the DEC will put this at the top of their priority list. I hope they have better things to do than shag a coyote hunter looking for his lost dog! ants
Hope you find out who this handsome devil is and put an end to his trespassing. Is that a radio hanging around his neck? Looks like a black motorola type. Edited February 18, 2013 by ants

sits in trees
crime of the century no doubt, maybe you should set bear traps...
Pygmy
crime of the century no doubt, maybe you should set bear traps... I agree....Those evil coyote doggers should be SHOT for not taking the time to get permission to trek across private land to retrieve thier dogs... After all, you folks WANT more coyotes on your property, don't you ?
ants
Not the crime of the century, but I have had to deal with trespassers in the past and it pisses me off too.

Pygmy
Yeah...Years ago I used to run fox hounds and coon hounds.... It got problematic when flatlanders bought up thier little 50 or 100 acre plots and posted them up against everyone... The critters run wherever they want and the hounds follow them... That's why I don't do it anymore...
josephmrtn
he looks like someone who is best left alone... i DONT like his looks
SplitG2
not worried about his looks. Yep my place is posted up! Still doesn't keep people off my land. If you don't like us posting our little parcels than maybe you should've bought 1,000 plus acres so you can run your dogs. I guess when I build my cabin on that property it was ok for others to break in and take my belongings as well.
josephmrtn
what i mean is he looks like the kinda guy i wouldnt want to run into while he is carrying a loaded gun
MattBuffaloNY
^right? What an idiot! "Oh people started posting their own land and wouldn't let me trespass, that's why I don't do it anymore" Shouldn't have been trespassing in the first place, posted signs or not! If it's not your land, stay off of it. That idiot is lucky we don't live in Texas
tughillhunter
He dont look mean. Good gosh, you are all acting like he is godzilla, lol.
Pygmy
1000 acres plus is NOTHING when running fox or coyote... As far as you posting your land, I don't have a problem with it.. I post MY little parcel too, but I miss the old days, when it wasn't a federal crime to cross the neighbor's boundary line.. As far as somebody breaking into your cabin, I'd shoot the SOBs as soon as you would..
Paula
I agree....Those evil coyote doggers should be SHOT for not taking the time to get permission to trek across private land to retrieve thier dogs... After all, you folks WANT more coyotes on your property, don't you ? Your assuming that’s what he is doing, but you don't know for sure. If that is what he is doing what is the big deal about asking for permission? It has been talked about on here before and for some reason it depends on who is posting seems like some of the people will always agree with certain people and never agree with certain people. Some times it ok to trespass and why make a big deal about and other times it’s not ok. It’s easy to say or have an opinion about it when it’s not your land or even if you don't own land. If a person is on someone’s land no matter what the reason is it is trespassing. Out of respect for what is not yours then what is the big deal to ask permission?
Gthphtm
If it was up to me I would have bear traps all over my property for the same reason,Only thy are illegal and you would have a nice size law suite against you.
phade
Didn't get the Covert MMS cams in time...I suppose you'll have them up soon? Stinks to see. I've belonged to a hunt club where dogs were run for deer, so I know all too well the issues with dogs and property lines. I still don't think I'd like people stomping on ground I paid for - I bet if you stomped on theirs, they'd be ticked.
covert
Personally I don't mind if someone is honestly trying to catch their dogs because you're right, you can't control them once they're loose. Problem is I know guys who have been denied permission to hunt on certain property who will turn the dogs loose at the edge of it so they run in there to bug the quarry out and then play the "can't control where the dogs go" card. Then they brag about how clever they are for doing it. All it takes is these clowns to come through a couple times and it blows it for everyone else.
